Ismini and Cheryl visited several areas on EDTECH Island including an EDTECH Sushi Bar, Innovation Pavilion, and Museum of Serious Games in Education. In the Innovation Pavilion, they spent time figuring out its purpose for understanding squared numbers, though Ismini was still confused. They discussed that clear descriptions would make educational exhibits more user-friendly. In the Museum of Serious Games, they found brief descriptions of educational games and were inspired for building their own virtual gaming for an educational site.

Side note 2:
Ismini can’t wait
to buy some
warm clothes!
3. EDTECH Sushi Bar
Ismini and Cheryl initially thought
this was a café. It wasn’t until
they turned around that they
realized it was a Sushi Bar…
We wondered if Virtual Sushi
tasted just as good…
5. Innovation Pavilion
Cheryl and Ismini spent most of their
time in this room figuring out its overall
purpose. They believe it provided some
interactive multimedia for understanding
squared numbers. Fortunately, Ismini is a
math teacher and picked up on this, but
she was still very confused..
They discussed that if they
owned it, a clear
description, purpose, and
goal of this educational
practice would make it
more user-friendly.
This idea will be useful to
them when creating their
own website.
6. Museum of Serious Games in
Education
A clear description of this room right when
they walked in. Perfect!
Included brief descriptions of several
educational games.
They discussed how this museum
was inspirational in building their own
virtual gaming and how it can play
into their own educational site.
