The White Throated Capuchin monkey lives in the emergent layer of the rainforest. It eats a variety of foods including nuts, fruits, insects, and butterflies, which it finds by trapping them in flight or pulling bark from trees. It climbs trees to move and raise its young, caring for them until they are mature. Potential predators of the Capuchin include harpy eagles, birds, jaguars, and caimans. A distinguishing feature is that its tail is longer than its body.
