Who would be the audience for your media product? Evaluation question 4 Jahaankhaliq
Before I started filming my thriller, I constructed a character profile on my target audience. I created a fake character who would be our ideal audience member.
In our media product we used a young, attractive                             teenage boy. He is casually dressed.   He is from a typical middle class background.                                              Similarly my ideal target audience is a typical teenager who is also attractive and casually dressed. In my target audience profile I highlighted the point that Sarah is from a middle class background.   Our male character is up to date with technology as he is using a mobile phone. Sarah is technology orientated, she is up to date with the newest technology. Both people are off similar age and fall into the same social category. The only difference between these two characters is that Sarah is from the South whereas the male is from the North. Both people are of similar ethnicity and background. To get his middle social class across we made sure he was dressed in casual clothes, which were not to scruffy. He is also walking a well groomed dog.

Who would be the target audience for your media product?

  • 2. Before I started filming my thriller, I constructed a character profile on my target audience. I created a fake character who would be our ideal audience member.
  • 3. In our media product we used a young, attractive teenage boy. He is casually dressed. He is from a typical middle class background. Similarly my ideal target audience is a typical teenager who is also attractive and casually dressed. In my target audience profile I highlighted the point that Sarah is from a middle class background. Our male character is up to date with technology as he is using a mobile phone. Sarah is technology orientated, she is up to date with the newest technology. Both people are off similar age and fall into the same social category. The only difference between these two characters is that Sarah is from the South whereas the male is from the North. Both people are of similar ethnicity and background. To get his middle social class across we made sure he was dressed in casual clothes, which were not to scruffy. He is also walking a well groomed dog.
  • 4. Our target audience We believe that our thriller will appeal to a large audience but in particular young adults (18-25). This is because our thriller does contain elements of violence and prolonged torture. Although some films will appeal to niche target audiences I believe that our thriller is one which would appeal to almost anyone. Tormented is an example of a thriller starring teenagers. We tried to mimic some of the characters in tormented.
