JamiQ Quick Start Guide
1. How to monitor the social media with JamiQ (The JamiQ Quick Start guide)
2. How about a demo? Once we’ve logged into your account, click the big green Add Topic button on the top right to get this page. Today our goal is to monitor the social media for the Toyota Prius 2010.
3. Demo continues… We begin by deciding which search engines we want to use for monitoring. For this example, we select all the English News and Blog search engines.
4. Demo continues… We begin with keywords that may be related such as “toyota”, “hybrid” and “2010” in the MAY include section.
5. Demo continues… What we know for sure is that the word “prius” needs to be in every post we monitor so we add that to the MUST include section.
6. Demo continues… Now we want serious articles and opinions on the Toyota Prius, so we exclude the keyword “for sale” to avoid classified listings of the car.
7. Demo continues… If we had other sites to track, we could insert their RSS feeds in Step 3. In this case we don’t, so we name our Topic in the Final Step and click “Create Topic”. Click the “Create Topic” button and we’re done!
8. Demo continues… Now JamiQ has gone off to track our search engines and within minutes we’ll be monitoring everything about the Toyota Prius 2010 on the social media. Use these filters to see only the data you want. New entries are monitored in near real-time. Switch views to see influence and sentiment indicators.
9. Demo continues… We can also switch to Data View to see the actual blog posts and other conversations that you’ve been tracking. Switch between Chart and Data views. You can export this data to Excel for further manipulation. Clicking on each Title opens the exact page in a new Window.
