2. Problem Scenario
This a real problem in a small town in
Puebla, Mexico. Atoyatempan is located in
Where the center of the state of Puebla, about 70
kilometers southeast of the state capital.
The surface of this town is 21.69 km ²,
which place it as one of the smallest in the

3. NEED ANALYSIS
Principal, teachers, students, parents
at “Jose María Morelos y Pavón”
Who Elementary School. From 1st to 6th
grade (~6 to 12 years old).

Morning session. The school session
begin from 8.30 to 1.30 pm. They have
30 minutes of break for taking lunch(2).
There are 547 students, 18 teachers,
18 grades (3 for each grade).

students of the entire school.

Background
The students of rest of the school
know a little about computers.
Some of them use computers at
home or cyber-sites.
There is a free WIFI internet signal in
the community and it's close to the
school. Unfortunately the speed is
low.

don't have enough time to learn about
computer and to teach curricular
objectives.
4. Benefactors don't want to
participate, they want the school
community organise the entire
implementation.

cooperation because past experiences
their cooperations were sold for one
person from the comittee, they are not

6. The Parent Comittee (PC) is an
important autority inside of the school,
they take decisions in name of the rest
of parents. The PC is formed by 7
parents.
7. The PC would like to have an
implementation plan in stages because
they think the rest of parents won't
want to cooperate much.
9. 8. The learning objectives are not set
but the parents wants at least the
children turn on/off the computer, write
texts and learn to search through

9. 70% of teachers have basic digital
skills, so they are not confident to
teach, they want to learn. The others
are not interested to teach though they
have better skills.

but at this time the computers are
old, obsolete and useless.
