ELECTRICITY
Electricity is the most widely used form of energy in
  industrialised societies for two reasons:
-It can be easily transformed into other forms of
    energy(light,heat...)
-It can be transported long distances inexpensively
and with very little energy lost

NON CONVENTIONAL
                 ELECTRIC P.PLANTS

- Wind power plants and wind farms
-Solar power plants
-Geothermal power plants
-Biomass thermal power plants
-Ocean power plants
WIND POWER
They use the kinetic energy
of the wind to move the PLANTS
  blades of the wind turbine
There are also “Wind farms”
wich are a clean form of
  generating electricity
Th e r e a r e tw o typ e s : SOLAR POWER
                                      PLANTS
Photo-thermal power plants,it Photovoltaic power
uses the heat generated by plants, uses
solar radiation to produce photovoltaic cells to
steam and move a rotor in transform solar
  the generator radiation into electricity.
To do this special mirrors are
  used,called heliostats
GEOTHERMAL
These plants use the heat found
                                  POWER PLANTS
at deep levels in the earth.
  This heat may reach the
surface in the form of steam,
  gases or hot water
This energy may be used
  directly or indirectly.
BIOMASS THERMAL
                               POWER PLANTS
Biomass is subjected to different physical and chemical processes in
order to produce fuel such as charcoal, alcohol or biogas
This type of fuel is burnt at biomass power plants. They come from:
Forestry and agricultural waste
Specific crops, such as sunflowers and sugar beet
Waste from agri-food industries
OCEAN POWER
                                          PLANTS
These power plants use the energy from the seas and the oceans.
Use three types of energy from the sea:
-The mechanical energy from the tides
-The mechanical energy from the waves
-The energy from the ocean's thermal gradient
These power plants are still in the experimental phase and their level
of production is still very low.
ENVIRONMENTAL
                                      IMPACT
E n v ir o n m e n t a l im p a c t a s s e s m e n t
An electrical power plant produces an ecolological change because
it produces waste and needs an infrastructure.
To avoid that is necessary to do an environmental impact assesment
and an environmental study to show all the consequences

Do you think wind turbine can
                 produce fresh water?
We think that 1000 liters of
 water are a very small
 amount of water to everyody,
but it is a good idea that we
 can develop with better
 technology
We think that in a near future
 this idea can be developed
 with better results
