Now we all associate Windows applications mainly with our work life, they help us get things done rather than create and be fun. They are trying to change this image at the moment. They created this more ‘edgy’ aimed at the gaming Market. This was rejected because they thought it would never get through ASA regulations, however it has been a viral success on YouTube with over 5 million hits*1. Another similar advert that was banned by the ASA for Xbox has received over 1.5 million hits on YouTube*2References BBC News (2002). ‘Shocking Xbox Advert Banned’ [WWW], Available From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/2028725.stm, Accessed 31/01/2011‘Infeksion’ (2005), ‘Banned Xbox 360 AD’ [video], Available from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNuRQmvykwk, Accessed 31/01/20112 ‘Murderer’ (2006), ‘Banned Xbox Commercial’ [video], Available from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu8456pVSLI, Accessed 31/01/2011
