I’ve always loved art my whole life. As I grew older, I developed my skills through art classes in school.

I’ve always been into street art/ graffiti art. Growing up, I’d often admire the graffiti I’d seen on the streets and on trains passing by. I never thought of them as “vandalism,” but simply art.

I’ve been drawing my whole life and as I grew older, I learned more and improved greatly.

I also was an acrylic painter and mixed media artist.

When I was in AP art, I was a drawer, acrylic painter, and mixed media artist but I wanted to branch out from what all the other students were doing.
So after some research, I discovered street/ graffiti artist Banksy. His works and stenciling techniques inspired me to create my own works.

I also discovered airbrushing!

Besides Banksy, I also am inspired by graffiti artist, Papermonster. I love his style and usage of stenciling too.

I made my own stencils using my own photos and Photoshop.

I’ve done a few free-hand airbrush works too.

During my senior year I was awarded “best portfolio” out of all the senior AP art students.

The answer to this question is no! Not only can I create handmade works I can also create digital works too!

I’ve done a few digital designs for friends using Illustrator. These are tattoo designs.
Senior year, I took a graphic designing class. I learned more about Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. I was the only one in my class who loved using Illustrator.

At one point, I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I graduated but I knew I wanted it to circulate around art.

After taking the graphic designing class, I realized that I could utilize my drawing skills in Illustrator, incorporate my stencil airbrushing skills for hand made designs, and keep on doing what I love to do all in just one career!

My competitive advantages are my ability to learn how to do things on my own and my strong desire to create hand made graphic designs using the skills I already have.

I love to keep the creative process within my works and I want my audience to appreciate the process along with the final design.

I currently am a supervisor at Papaya Clothing. Working in retail helps me see design changes in their logo, signs, and website.

Success is a state of mind. To me success is achieved if you meet your own personal goal and stay true to yourself through it all. Success isn’t about how much money you make or what title you hold, it’s about whether or not you’re doing what makes you happy and doing what you love to do.

Genuine Artist is my brand mantra. Although everything is advancing and technology is being utilized for almost everything, I will be a designer who makes handmade designs, not just digital ones because no one ever said that graphic designing had to be strictly digital.
