LEARNING AND INSTRUCTION

A LEARNING THEORY is an attempt to describe
how people and animals learn, thereby helping us
understand the inherently complex process of
learning.
INSTRUCTION is an external agency that
guides the learner toward a goal by means of
some specified procedures

BEHAVIORISM




Behaviorism is a learning theory that is
 focused upon the concept of
 “stimulus/response”
COGNITION




Cognition is the process that the brain recalls and
  connects related old memories, knowledge with new
  or current information to make a decision or solve a
  problem
DEVELOPMENT




Cognitive development is a field of study in neuroscience and
psychology focusing on a child's development in terms of information
processing, conceptual resources, perceptual skill, language
learning, and other aspects of brain development and cognitive
psychology
BIOLOGY




          Repetition is the first law of learning
There is a cellular, a nucleic response, to all learning
                          events
MOTIVATION




MOTIVATION is either an external (extrinsic) or internal
(intrinsic) influence that increases the enthusiasm or
maintains the persistence in order to reach a certain
goal.
INSTRUCTION




INSTRUCTION is a methodology that will
enhance learning on the part of the learner,
primarily focused upon meeting learning goals
and learning objectives
CONSTRUCTIVISM




Constructivism is a learning theory based on
the belief that learners can generate new
knowledge based on previous knowledge
and/or experience
CONNECTIVISM




CONNECTIVISM is a learning theory for the Digital
 Age
