Currently over 500 Million users

8. Adam.Evie.Laura.Jenny Why people overshare Social networking - people use social networking sites to connect with people by putting more detail into their profiles they are more easily found. You can search for people by their birthday, email, school, other friends and hometown. By using these social networking sites it’s easier to keep in touch with friends and family both and at home and across the world and also to stay on top of birthdays, social gatherings and causes. It also makes it easier to share pictures and videos from parties and holidays without also having to show people individually Shopping – Everyone is fighting time nowadays, so shopping on the internet is one way to save time. It is a lot easier to search cheaper prices than going to shop to shop to shop. There is also usually a wider variety of products available on the internet and as you can buy from overseas and Australia and get products shipped to you prices are also becoming more competitive. Its also convenient to pay bills over the internet via bill pay and internet banking.
9. Adam.Evie.Laura.Jenny Why people overshare Attitude – Young people attitude to internet is vastly different to past generations. The idea that once something is on the internet it stays there. Young people carry the “I don’t care who sees it” attitude. In reality new employers can look up new applicants before they even come in to interview. Young people use the internet to create cyber networks of friends people who they have not and possible will never meet in person. Games such as World of War craft create teams of people who simply organise to be online at the same time to eliminate stronger enemies. All information exchanged in about their character or avatar not the person controlling them. Problems – Nowadays people are becoming socially retarded by living through their computers and not joining in the outside world. Then when the do have human contact they are finding that their voices are not heard and then in turn they put more personal information on the internet for example dear diary websites

There are many ways you can be traced for example by your cookies which is when you use your computer to access that same website, the information that was previously received is sent back to the website by your browser. The HyperText transfer protocol (HTTP) is the set of rules that websites and browsers follow in order to communicate It is now just so easy to hack into anyone’s account this website Easy Private profile viewer .com you can hack into anyones private profile account on facebook, myspace, twitter or friendster with the only condition being you have your own account.
