Founded in 2009 with a vision to combine scalable, profitable
production of ORGANIC palm oil with social responsibility and
environmental stewardship.
3. Natural Habitats Group
Our organic and fair trade approach
ORGANIC PRODUCTION
• For us organic and sustainable production are not and will not be limited to
the compliance of international standards, we are aligning all our operations
to work and innovate beyond the standards.
• We integrate the four IFOAM principles of organic agriculture: Health,
Ecology, Fairness and care, in all our processes, and have several research
and trial programs to demonstrate our farmers that it is possible to produce
organic palm oil.
4. Natural Habitats Group
Our sustainability and fair trade approach
SUSTAINABILITY
• In order to guarantee that we will have a long term business we need
people and natural resources. This is why, our sustainability approach does
not only cover a few initiatives to improve our processes, but it is the
guideline to create any process.
• All our efforts are aligned to create operations that empower, and educate
our workers, while at the same time mitigate the environmental impact of
our operations and enhance the biodiversity.
5. Natural Habitats
the group
• Natural Habitats is a vertically
integrated group with operations
in Ecuador, Sierra Leone, Ghana
and sales offices in USA and The
Netherlands (Headquarters).
• The group produces, processes
and trades organic palm oil, using
only organic and and fair
production practices, which
allows us to ensure a sustainable
and reliable supply chain From
Farmer to Fork.
6. Social, participative &
inclusive business model
• We empower and train small farm
holders in organic and more
sustainable production practices.
• We provide them with professional
advisory in agronomy issues and
conservation. We also provide
premium prices and all the support
needed to make them economically

19. Integrity through the whole supply
chain
• The fruit is collected by the company
trucks or is delivered by the farmers
to the mill, and the fruit processing
process takes place in the mill.
• The fruit is collected from our own
plantation 70ha, and from 6 different
groups of small farm-holders (1392).
• Farmers are located in small villages..
Our field inspectors and fruit buyers,
in our own trucks, collect the fruit in
different collection points. The fruit is
harvested by the farmers and
removed from the bunches by them
and their wives. There is a collection
schedule by region and area.
