For example, in some ways, the clothes of a Han man differ and have similarities to that of a Greek man. Or, another thing you can look at, is their beliefs or even their food, which also has their differences and similarities. Look at some of the things that you may have not known about their culture differences or their similarities in those things. Appearances, beliefs, communication, all are done different between the Greeks and the Han.
Appearance, we care about it today, as they did also in those cultures. In the Han culture they wore what looked like Kimonos, but were called Hanfus. They came in different sizes and patterns. The poor wore something very plan, while the rich and rulers wore rich colors and designs, like the symbol of luck; a dragon with the lucky color red. This was similar to the way that the Greece wore their togas. The poor wore simple colors and very basic designs, if they could afford any, and the rich, also wore designs like gold swirls or brick like patterns. Women of the Han, much like the Greece women, also wore their hair up in a neat order.
In the Han Dynasty, they actually had three religions split into the different areas in the empire. They were: Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism, but in Greece times, they did not have one main religion, but worshiped separate gods for separate things. They all had a god to look up to though, and all made sacrifices, whether it be crops or living sacrifices. Their religion also was the base of their normal lives and how they lived. For example, if a Han wanted to do something, he had to ask his quot;
Godquot;
if he allowed to do so, as the Greeks would also ask their Gods.
Now, food is what everyone needs, and everyone has different and similar tastes. For example, The Han Dynasty's daily diet consisted of rice, steamed dumplings, fish, tea, whine or wheat, depending on where you lived, as to where the Greeks ate Bread, olive oil, cheese, wine, fish, meat, veggies, all available to them from where ever they lived. Most of the dishes did differ, but things like wine and fish were eaten throughout these cultures that were similar.
As you can see, there are many differences, as there are similarities. Appearance, beliefs and food are just simple topics, as they are to every other civilization, it just takes a person to want to find them. Han and Greece are alike and different, and that's all there is to it.
