Nazi Pop Twins 
Nazi Pop Twins is a documentary produced by 
Louis Theroux. It follows two teenage girls and 
their family around and shows how the public 
reacts about their radically extreme views.
Themes 
The themes in the documentary Nazi Pop 
Twins are religion, music, races, guns, Nazi’s, 
singers, family, politics and propaganda.
Narrative Structure 
Nazi Pop Twins is a fully narrated documentary, 
there is a voice over throughout the 
documentary telling the audience what is 
going on, this makes it easier for the audience 
to follow. Also the audience don't get to see 
the ‘face of god’. The documentary is also a 
mixed documentary, this is because it involves 
interviews, observation, narration and 
dramatisation.
Camera 
The camera shots used in Nazi Pop Twins are 
done by a hand held camera. The camera 
shots include establishing shots to show the 
viewer where they are, extreme close ups and 
medium close ups to emphasise the emotion 
to the audience.
Close Up
Mise-en-scene 
The documentary is based in California and 
Montana. The documentary is mainly filmed in 
the families house, in their concerts and on 
press appearances. The costumes in Nazi Pop 
Twins are casual outfits as it follows a family 
around.
Sound 
The sound in Nazi Pop Twins is speech and the 
music that the people in the documentary play. 
There is background music edited into the 
credits of the film.
Editing 
The editing in the documentary only includes 
jump cuts from scene to scene.
Archive Material 
The archive material in the film includes images from 
the past, this shows how much the people have 
changed. There is also news flashes in the 
documentary to show how much the family affect 
people.
News Flash
Graphics 
The graphics in the documentary include 
peoples names over the screen to show the 
audience who the people are and what their 
relation is. The end credits are also put on the 
end of the film to credit who was involved 
making the film.
