3. Unlike Comic Books, Graphic Novels are bound in a more durable form such as hard covers or sturdy paperback covers.
4. Graphic Novels are told in one story (maybe two volumes) that reach an end then stop. Comic Books are told in a series of books that continue on and on.
6. Graphic Novels are more realistic fiction, usually historical, biographic, or a subject related nonfiction text.

8. How to read Graphic Novels Graphic Novels are read from left to right and down depending on the placement of the speech bubbles. Some pages will have panels (square boxes) that are placed horizontally or vertically on the page. You will start reading from left to right and then down. Text inside of the small rectangular boxes (usually at the top of page) are narration, text inside of speech bubbles are dialogue between characters.
