3. About the Product:
babybird is a mobile resource for aspiring UX designers looking for education,
events and career opportunities. babybird a simple way to discover and leverage
the UX community by providing one, consolidated tool.
!
About the Project:
babybird was designed for Erik, a young UX designer.
!
The goal of the project was to find a product solution to help Erik’s life. After a deep
discussion with Erik, it appeared the simplest answer was to help him find his first
professional UX job by creating an app that would easily point him to the UX community
and it’s resources.
5. DESIGN RESEARCH
Method: !
I spoke to Erik about the things that he found most useful. !
!
Findings:
After speaking with Erik, it appeared a straight-forward approach to the
app would be best.
Opportunities Identified: !
1) keep it simple!
2) include the latest updates on homepage
6. DESIGN ITERATION | DESIGN HYPOTHESIS
ITERATION 1
Method: !
I tested nearly 5 users with a paper prototype and asked for their candid
feedback.
Findings:
There were multiple concerns about only having one way to login. !
Most people were lost without a clear way to move backwards.!
!
Opportunities Identified: !
Increasing ways for users to login!
Allow use without login!
Keep the flow super simple!
!
Latest Version:
Following group feedback, the new version features the ability to connect
with other users, see their involvement in the UX community and allows
users to upload their own events, blogs, classes, etc. !
!
!
!
!
ITERATION 3
7. DESIGN ITERATIONS | PROTOTYPE
Method: !
I created a prototype in invision that captured the
screen-based version of the experience. !
!
