MEET THE DIRECTORS
DALI TAMBO – CEO
Dali grew up in the United Kingdom where his family spent 30 years in exile.
He acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs and Political
Science from the University of Paris. Dali worked in film and television in the
United Kingdom, on productions such as Richard Attenborough’s Cry
Freedom.
Upon his return to South Africa in 1990, Dali launched Southern Stream
Productions, with his first talk show on M-Net, called Night Moves,
revolutionizing the genre. He then moved to SABC2, with his highly
successful People of the South, which aired for an uninterrupted 8,5 years
and then returned to the screen in 2012 on SABC3 with new productions of
the popular show featuring well-known Southern Africans from all walks of
life.
Dali Tambo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Koketso Growth,
a BEE Company with specific interests in the Heritage, Arts and Culture
Industries. Koketso Growth is currently involved in several heritage tourism
related projects.
Dali has directed and led the Koketso Growth Team in the
conceptualization, research and production of the 9m Mandela Statue at
the Union Buildings, which was undertaken for the Department of Arts &
Culture and the Mandela Bust, which was recently installed in Parliament.
Dali is currently also the Chief Executive Officer of the National Heritage
Project Company (PPC), implementers of the National Heritage Monument
(NHM), a major South African cultural heritage destination.
Dali is the Chairman and Director of Glensol (Global Environment Solutions)
and Executive Chairperson of The Heritage Production House, a television
company.
Dali is the Founding Trustee of the Oliver and Adelaide Tambo
Foundation and Executive Chairperson of the Oliver and Adelaide
Tambo Foundation Trust. He chairs the Naledi Theatre Awards and is the
Chairman of the Advisory Board of Drama for Life.
Dali is a committed family man, married, and a father of four, who believes
in family values and that investing in our children is the greatest gift we can
give.
JOHAN LIEBENBERG – DIRECTOR
Johan is a professional and highly competent Quantity Surveyor
(B.Sc.)(QS) with 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, providing
the full range of routine technical and administrative quantity surveying
services, comprising, amongst others, cost planning and commercial
management throughout the life cycle of projects, from inception to
completion.
Johan is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Absolute Infrastructure
(Pty) Ltd, a successful construction company specializing in residential,
commercial and industrial projects. Absolute Infrastructure (Pty) Ltd has
proudly established itself as a company with a reputation of unashamedly
ethical business principles. In its relatively short life, Absolute Infrastructure
(Pty) Ltd has established itself as a specialist in tackling challenging projects
specializing in off-shutter in-situ concrete slabs, beams, columns, walls and
staircases. Absolute Infrastructure (Pty) Ltd is a BEE registered company
with BBBEE status 4 and is also registered with the NHBRC
Johan manages all the required pre-contract duties and tender reviews;
estimates and controls costs for construction projects; drafts, implements
and administers such projects whilst strictly adhering to cost-effectiveness,
standards and regulations. Demonstrating sound knowledge of the industry,
Johan employs excellent financial and numeracy management skills, as well
as the writing proficiencies necessary for the preparation of contract and
tender documentation and reports. He is a methodical thinker with
exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to communicate and
negotiate on all levels, with clients, contractors and construction teams.
Johan possesses the ability to prioritize and manage multiple clients
according to their needs; meeting demanding targets, deadlines and
objectives,oftenin highly pressurized environments.
Johan is a committed family man, married, and a father of four with an
interest in theatre, culture and music. He is a dedicated supporter of our
national rugby, soccer and cricket teams. He is also a deeply religious man
and believes that honest, moral values are not negotiable.
CODE OF ETHICS – “RAISING THE STANDARDS”
Duty to the Public
1. We will be fair, honest, impartial, respectfuland professional, and will
act in good faith in all our business relationships with our clients and
the public, including employees,subcontractors and suppliers.
2. We will always act in the interests of the client, unless doing so
violates a law, statute or this Code of Ethics.
3. We will not discriminate in any business activities on the basis of race,
national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, familial status or
handicap, and will complywith all federal, state and local laws
concerning discrimination and fair housing.
4. We will be truthful regarding our training, experience,qualifications
and services.
5. We will be truthful regarding our licenses and certifications,and will
provide documentation upon request.
6. We will accept only assignments and projects for which our skills and
licensing are commensurate.
7. We will uphold and complywith all governing codes,governmentand
municipal statutes and rules, and professionallicensing requirements
of the jurisdiction in which we conduct business,especiallythose
related to safety.
8. We will not engage in any practices that could be damaging to the
public, including providing or promoting any building materials,
products or techniques that are known to us to be defective,
substandard, or likely to cause harm. If such knowledge that is
relevant to the projectcomes to our attention following contract
execution and/or project commencement, we will take all necessary
steps to notify all relevant parties and engage in immediate mitigation
efforts,as we deem appropriate.
9. We will strive at all times to promote high-quality and safe building
materials, products and techniques.
10. We will provide a timely and appropriate response to all items and
workmanship covered under warranty.
11. We will use generally accepted accounting principles in relation to all
of our financial transactions and reporting.
12. We will not engage in any deceptive practice or any practice that
creates an unfair advantage for our company or another party.
13. We will compete fairly for projects and contracts, and will have no
undisclosed conflictof interest with the client or with any party to the
projector any transactions thereto.
14. We will not accept any undisclosed commission,rebate, profit, or other
benefitfrom any party to the project.
15. We will not provide any undisclosed commission,rebate, profit, or
other benefitto any party to the project,including for purposes of
receiving referrals from any party connected to the project.
16. We will respect our client’s right to confidentiality with regard to
financial and other details the disclosure of which to other parties is
not required for the advancement and completionof the projectwithout
the client’s prior written consent, exceptwhere it may affectthe safety
of others or violate a law or statute.
17. We will negotiate fairly and openly with our clients for reasonable
compensation,and charge fees and expenses that are reasonable and
commensurate with the services and materials to be provided and the
responsibilities and risks to be assumed. We will use a written contract
that specifiesthe services to be performed,limitations of services,and
expenses and fees,and will adhere to both the letter and the spirit of
such contract.
18. We will meet all financial and contractual obligations in a timely and
responsible manner.
19. Should conflicts arise, we will seek to have such disputes negotiated,
including mediation or arbitration via an impartial third party, before
resorting to litigation.
Duty to the Industry
1. We will uphold the integrity and dignity of our professionand not
engage in any practices that could bring discreditto the construction
industry.
2. We will seek to make a reasonable profit, but not at the expense of
safety or workmanship.
3. We will uphold the conventions of our professionand will provide our
services in a professionaland workmanlike manner.
4. We will comply with all the laws and regulations that govern its practice
in our jurisdiction.
5. We will strive to engage in professionaltraining and stay up to date
with professionaldevelopment,as well as news, notices and recalls
that affect our industry and our clients.
6. We will not knowingly violate any law, statute or regulation in the
performance of our professionalservices.
7. We will not maliciously or recklesslyinjure or attempt to injure, directly
or indirectly, the professionalreputation of others.
8. We will engage in ethical business practices that put safety and quality
foremost. We will seek to be a good steward of the environment in all
of our business and contracting practice
