                                        Youth Sponsorship Asian Festival Trip
The Youth Sponsorship trip to the Savannah Wildlife Festival, originally scheduled 4 June, has been changed to the Youth Spon-
sorship Asian Festival trip and rescheduled for 11 June.
The festival will include live stage performances, martial arts demonstrations, authentic cuisine, Asian cultural displays and more. In
addition, there will be a side trip to an ice cream parlor. There's no cost for the trip, but participants will need to bring money for lunch
and ice cream.
The registration deadline is 9 June. Register either in person through the CYSS Parent Central Services at Fort Stewart or Hunter, or
online. For more info, call 767-2312 at Stewart or 315 5425 at Hunter.

                                      SMOOTHIE BAR OPENS at TOMINAC
The new Smoothie Bar at Tominac Fitness Center opens 8 June. The hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday. Stay tuned for a
Grand Opening in the very near future. The Smoothie Bar will offer Starbucks coffees, Starbucks Frappucinos, smoothies and protein
shakes, along with soft drinks, snacks, etc.

                                               HISTORIC CHURCH TOUR
June 12: Community members are invited to join Hunter Chapel during its historic church tour; which leaves 1 p.m. June 12 from
Hunter Chapel. To learn more about the event, or to sign up, contact CH (CPT)Sutherland at 315-6815.

                                                Skeet Tournament @ HAAF
The Hunter Skeet Tournament, with check-in starting at 0900 and com-petition in the 50-bird skeet or trap shoot beginning at 1000
will be held 11 June at the Hunter Army Airfield Skeet Range. The range is located at building 8250 off North Perimeter Road.
Lunch will be provided and prizes awarded.
The event is open to all Military ID cardholders and civilians. Entry fee is $25 for either event or $40 for both skeet and trap. Register

                                           Kids Fishing Event on Ft. Stewart
 A Kids Fishing Event, planned as a way to intro-duce youth to the life-long sport of fishing, will be held from 0700-1100 on 11 June
at Pond 30, Training Area Echo 1, off Highway144 West.
Kids under the age of 16 will have an opportunity to catch 10 catfish from a heavily stocked fishing pond, compete in a bait-casting
competition, watch a fish-cleaning demonstration, get their face painted win door prizes, visit in-formational booths and get their fish
cleaned.
The event is free. It is sponsored by DFMWR’s Outdoor Recreation, DPW Fisheries Branch, DES Game Wardens and Liberty County
BASS Club.
Activities and events will be scheduled every 30 minutes from 0800-1030. Door prize drawings will be held every 30 minutes starting
at 0715 DPW Fish and Wildlife will staff a fish-cleaning station from 0800- 1100.
The Kids Fishing Event is being held in conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week. For more information, call 435-8061.

                                         Father’s Day BBQ Picnic @ HAAF!
                  Enjoy a Father’s Day BBQ Picnic outdoors on the patio of Hunter Club from 1100-1500 on 19 June.
                                           In addition, the Hunter Outdoor Pool will be open.
Everyone’s invited to enjoy Sticky Finger famous pork and smoked chicken, along with baked beans, macaroni and cheese; roasted
red potatoes, coleslaw, tossed salad, cookies, brownies, watermelon and iced tea.
Advance tickets are $10.95 for adults and $5.45 for children ages 5-10. Tickets at the door are $11.95 for adults and $6.45 for children
5-10. Children 4 and under are free. For more info, call 459-7923.

                                            CDC Grand Opening on HAAF!
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the Child Development Center, building 148 at 131 Leonard Neal Street on
Hunter Army Airfield, will be held beginning at 0930 on14 June.
The full-service facility will provide 144 additional child care spaces for Family Members ages 0-5 years of the Hunter Community.
It contains 13,153 square feet of space and was built at a cost of $4.3 million.
Soldiers, Family Members and members of the local community are invited.
Hours of Operation will be 0530-1800 Monday through Friday, closed weekends.
Registration and enrollment information is available by calling the HAAF Parent Central Services Office, located in building 1286, at
912-315-5425.




                                             Army Birthday Party on HAAF
 Hunter Army Airfield will also celebrate the Army's Birthday from 1700- 1900 on 14 June with free food, games, and prizes for all
                              Family Members to enjoy. There is no charge. SAYS is in building 880.

                                                     ACS OPEN HOUSE
June 14: Hunter Army Community Service (ACS) celebrates the Army birthday with an open house, 1-3 p.m. The community is
invited to tour the facilities Hunter (building 1286). All who enter ACS during this time will be eligible to win a $200 gift basket!

                                               SSN REMOVED FROM ID
Did you know that DoD is removing Social Security Numbers from ID cards to protect your privacy and personal identity
information, your Social Security Number (SSN) is being replaced with a DoD ID Number on all ID cards. SSN Removal ID Card
Changes:
• As of June 2011, SSNs will no longer be printed on any new ID card.
• SSN removal will occur in three phases.
• Your new ID card will have a DoD ID Number in place of your SSN.
• Your DoD ID Number will be used as the Geneva Conventions serial number.
• If you are eligible for DoD benefits, there will also be a DoD Benefits Number printed on your new ID card.

Winn Army Community Hospital
We are proud to announce that we will open our new OB/GYN Clinic on the 4th Floor of Winn. We are moving our Mammogram
Services to 4th Floor in their new designed area. Please come out and help us cut the ribbon and get a tour on June 20, 2011 at 1130.

To help prevent our patient/beneficiaries from getting medical bills, please remind them to utilize the Military Treatment Facilities for
services first. If we cannot provide the services in a timely manner, we will put in a referral authorizing the patients to seek care in the
network. If they do this on their own, they will receive a bill.

School Screening: Call the appointment line a get the family member schedule now. We will be having a school screening event
coming up in July and August but don’t wait; you can take care of business now for first time enrollment to the Georgia School
System.
Pharmacy Updates: To help manage your time, if you have a civilian prescription, remember you can utilize the Pharmacy
Service at Hawk Troop Clinic to get them filled. Refills service is still at the Post Exchange (PX).
Enrollment: Richmond Hill Medical Home Clinic is accepting Active Duty Family Member enrollment. To change your
enrollment, you may choose from one of three options: Via website @ www.humana-military.com; by calling 1-800-444-5445; or
you may visit our Tricare Service Center (TSC) located within the MTF. It’ that simple!

Should you have specific questions regarding your PCM enrollment change, or benefits coverage, please direct them to the TSC, or
contact the WINN Enrollment Coordinator at 912-435-6282.

                    FORT STEWART/HUNTER AAF OUTDOOR POOLS OPEN
Hunter Outdoor Pool (behind Hunter Club, Bldg. 6015) is opening May 27 thru Sep. 5 for the 2011
Summer Season. The pools will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday thru Sunday. The
pool passes are $3 daily, $34 individual, and $60 for Family season passes. Remember, if you
purchase your season pass on opening day, you will receive half off the price. For more information

July 3 (Sun) Fort Stewart
6-7 p.m. ―Salute to the Nation‖ atCottrell Field. Citizens from communities surrounding Fort Stewart are invited to attend this
stirring ceremony. There is no charge.
July 4 (Mon) Fort Stewart
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sam’s Path Petting Zoo. Pet & feed various animals!
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Up to three performances by the Disc-Connected K9's Frisbee dog show
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CYSS activities, free to Soldiers & Families, will be held at Newman Field. Activities will include a bounce
house, Turbo Slide, Wild One Slide, climbing wall, trampoline jump, spin art, character drawing, mechanical bull, video arcade,
balloon artist, video arcade, outdoor laser tag, CYSS games & face-painting. Food vendors will be present. 767-4316.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free admission for Soldiers & Family Members at the ―The Springs Splashpark,‖ the outdoor pool and other
activities in the Corkan Family Recreation Area. Free bowling at Stewart Lanes. 767-4273.
11:15a.m. to 2:15p.m. Hinesville Military Affairs Committee food court: Soldiers & Family Members will enjoy a wide variety
of food such as barbecue, bratwurst, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers & more in the vicinity of AAFES Service Center.
6 -10 p.m. FREE Independence Day concert at Donovan Field featuring Grammy winners Fantasia and the Zac Brown
Band!
Following her triumph in the 2004 edition of American Idol, the song ―I Believe‖ made Fantasia Monique Barrino the first recording
artist in history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with a debut single.
Her third studio album, Back to Me, was released in August 2010 and features the single "Bittersweet," which peaked in the top ten on
the R&B chart and brought her the Grammy in February for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Her other albums are Free
Yourself (2004) and Fantasia (2006). Fantasia, featured the No. 1 R&B hit ―When I See U. ―
In addition to her musical success, she also coveted a 2007 Theatre World Award for her performance as Celie in the Broadway
musical The Color Purple & published her New York Times Bestseller memoir, Life is Not a Fairy Tale and starred as herself in the
Lifetime Network adaptation. Recently, she returned to the spotlight with the VH1 reality series Fantasia for Real.
Described as an ―overnight success‖ that was years in the making, Zac Brown Band has recorded four studio albums, and charted six
Number One singles on the Billboard country charts: "Chicken Fried," "Toes," "Highway 20 Ride," "Free," "As She's Walking Away"
and "Colder Weather." The single "Whatever It Is," peaked at number 2 on the Billboard chart.
Among awards the band won this year were a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals — ―As She's Walking Away‖
with Alan Jackson and the Academy of Country Music’s ―Top Vocal Event of the Year‖ award, also for "As She's Walking Away‖ In
2010, the band also won a Grammy as Best New Artist in addition to the Country Music Association’s ―New Artist of the Year‖
award.

The festival will include live stage performances, martial arts demonstrations, authentic cuisine, Asian cultural displays and more. In addition, there will be a side trip to an ice cream parlor. There's no cost for the trip, but participants will need to bring money for lunch and ice cream. The registration deadline is 9 June. SMOOTHIE BAR OPENS at TOMINAC The new Smoothie Bar at Tominac Fitness Center opens 8 June. The hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday. Stay tuned for a Grand Opening in the very near future. The Smoothie Bar will offer Starbucks coffees, Starbucks Frappucinos, smoothies and protein shakes, along with soft drinks, snacks, etc. HISTORIC CHURCH TOUR June 12: Community members are invited to join Hunter Chapel during its historic church tour; which leaves 1 p.m. June 12 from Hunter Chapel. Skeet Tournament @ HAAF The Hunter Skeet Tournament, with check-in starting at 0900 and com-petition in the 50-bird skeet or trap shoot beginning at 1000 will be held 11 June at the Hunter Army Airfield Skeet Range. The range is located at building 8250 off North Perimeter Road. Lunch will be provided and prizes awarded.

Kids Fishing Event on Ft. Stewart A Kids Fishing Event, planned as a way to intro-duce youth to the life-long sport of fishing, will be held from 0700-1100 on 11 June at Pond 30, Training Area Echo 1, off Highway144 West. Kids under the age of 16 will have an opportunity to catch 10 catfish from a heavily stocked fishing pond, compete in a bait-casting competition, watch a fish-cleaning demonstration, get their face painted win door prizes, visit in-formational booths and get their fish cleaned. The event is free. It is sponsored by DFMWR’s Outdoor Recreation, DPW Fisheries Branch, DES Game Wardens and Liberty County BASS Club. Activities and events will be scheduled every 30 minutes from 0800-1030. Door prize drawings will be held every 30 minutes starting at 0715 DPW Fish and Wildlife will staff a fish-cleaning station from 0800- 1100. The Kids Fishing Event is being held in conjunction with National Fishing and Boating Week. For more information, call 435-8061. Father’s Day BBQ Picnic @ HAAF! Enjoy a Father’s Day BBQ Picnic outdoors on the patio of Hunter Club from 1100-1500 on 19 June. In addition, the Hunter Outdoor Pool will be open. Everyone’s invited to enjoy Sticky Finger famous pork and smoked chicken, along with baked beans, macaroni and cheese; roasted red potatoes, coleslaw, tossed salad, cookies, brownies, watermelon and iced tea. Advance tickets are $10.95 for adults and $5.45 for children ages 5-10. Tickets at the door are $11.95 for adults and $6.45 for children 5-10. Children 4 and under are free. For more info, call 459-7923. CDC Grand Opening on HAAF! A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the Child Development Center, building 148 at 131 Leonard Neal Street on Hunter Army Airfield, will be held beginning at 0930 on14 June. The full-service facility will provide 144 additional child care spaces for Family Members ages 0-5 years of the Hunter Community. It contains 13,153 square feet of space and was built at a cost of $4.3 million. Soldiers, Family Members and members of the local community are invited. Hours of Operation will be 0530-1800 Monday through Friday, closed weekends. Army Birthday Party on HAAF Hunter Army Airfield will also celebrate the Army's Birthday from 1700- 1900 on 14 June with free food, games, and prizes for all Family Members to enjoy. ACS OPEN HOUSE June 14: Hunter Army Community Service (ACS) celebrates the Army birthday with an open house, 1-3 p.m. The community is invited to tour the facilities Hunter (building 1286). SSN REMOVED FROM ID Did you know that DoD is removing Social Security Numbers from ID cards to protect your privacy and personal identity information, your Social Security Number (SSN) is being replaced with a DoD ID Number on all ID cards. SSN Removal ID Card Changes: • As of June 2011, SSNs will no longer be printed on any new ID card. • SSN removal will occur in three phases. • Your new ID card will have a DoD ID Number in place of your SSN. • Your DoD ID Number will be used as the Geneva Conventions serial number. • If you are eligible for DoD benefits, there will also be a DoD Benefits Number printed on your new ID card.
