MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: Letter of Recommendation for Sergeant First Class John A. Ramirez
1. This memorandum is my personal recommendation for SFC John A. Ramirez. He
reported directly to me for various aspects of his duties as the Brigade S-1(Human
Resources) Noncommissioned Officer In Charge (NCOIC) from May 2014 to March
2015.
2. As the S-1 NCOIC, SFC Ramirez managed a team that consistently performed at a
level which was consistently recognized by the unit’s higher headquarters for
excellence in Human Resources functions. He accounted for hundreds of human
resource actions for geographically separated units resulting in timely submission.
John was clearly the best NCO in our organization. He understands how to build
teams; manage complex projects and tasks; and get the most out of his personnel. His
high level of performance is even more amazing when you consider that he is not a
human resources professional by trade. Much of what he learned was on the job
training and self-study.
3. SFC Ramirez has been a tremendous asset to this organization. He not only
excelled as the S-1 NCOIC, but he often performed tasks outside of the S-1
responsibilities that greatly contributed to the success of the unit, continuously
demonstrating outstanding leadership by example. Any company would benefit greatly
by hiring such a versatile and driven leader. He is an amazing leader and team player.
4. Point of contact for this memorandum is the undersigned at 502-626-2106 or at
