1. ARTICULO # 1
Unfortunately in our society are practiced all kinds of actions that cause
irreversible damage to the environment we live every day, often
"unconsciously". One of the bad practices of citizens is to burn the trash,
rather than leaving it clafisificarla and reach truck to pick it happens to be
moved to places where you know and give proper treatment without the risk
of contamination.
Is not at all advisable to continue this way to get rid of our waste as many
environmental experts say the smoke emitted from some of the wastes that
are burning may cause allergic respiratory and further that these reach the
ozone layer and then contribute to the environment.
Trash or house or urban solid waste, is a mixture of waste from households.
Contains organic waste such as food, paper and paperboard, and inorganic
as plastics, glass and metals. Among the latter are some dangerous, as
pesticide containers, batteries, fluorescent, etc..
Ideally, municipalities must collect all trash and disposing it in landfills.
However, this does not happen in most cases, as several cities and towns
lack these facilities, so that the feature in dumps, or, in the worst case, in the
streets and on the banks of rivers and beaches.
In many cases burned waste to reduce its volume, to avoid odor and prevent
proliferation of pest produced by decomposition. Burning garbage produces
a lot of smoke with chemicals harmful to humans and the environment
contaminants. Thus we have, among others, carbon monoxide, sulfur
dioxide, particulate matter, heavy metals, dioxins and furans, and carbon
dioxide, a greenhouse gas that causes climate change.
ARTICULO #2
ARTICULO 3
In many cases burned waste to reduce its volume, to avoid odor and
prevent proliferation of pest produced by decomposition. Burning
garbage produces a lot of smoke with chemicals harmful to humans
and the environment contaminants. Thus we have, among others,
carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, particulate matter, heavy metals,
dioxins and furans, and carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas that
causes climate change.
The immediate health effects caused by these pollutants are burning
eyes, respiratory tract irritation and exacerbation of asthma, among
others. There are also effects caused in the medium and long term,
such as emphysema, cancer, endocrine disruption, Spina Bifida,
malformation and neurobehavioral alterations, the latter caused by
dioxins and furans, which are the most toxic substances that exist
3. on the planet, and which are formed during the combustion of
organic waste
This affects the ozone layer in the following manner: when burning
trash .. it not only burn leaves or organic debris, also burned
remains of plastic, and some materials that are made from highly
polluting hydrocarbons to the atmosphere, this is because we have
no ecological culture of waste separation and gives .. just close our
garbage bags with remains of Styrofoam, plastic, nylon, etc., nor do
we take the trouble to get them out of the fire but we know that
pollute, although we know that there may be flammable substances
(chlorine or solvent bottles) may explode and when this happens off
a smell which can not intoxicate.
This affects the ozone layer because the gases and smoke rise to
the atmosphere and heated ozone
ARTICULO #4
otras estructuras.
ARTICULO #5
HOW TO REDUCE THE BURNING reciduos: Problems caused by
inadequate incineration of these wastes are affecting both large
cities and marginal areas, like small rural populations. Corrective
measures should be considered:
Composting: The process of biological decomposition of organic
matter in MSW
which aims at the conversion of an organic product for improving
agricultural soils. Composting manure but not a ground conditioner,
although in practice usually replace organic fertilizers (manure).
Recycling: The use or reuse of materials from waste matter. in
the recycling process, the process starts with a separation. From the
point
of view of efficiency of performance of these separation systems
which favors
make a source separation.
Landfill: A work intended for the disposal of solid waste
domestic, which are arranged on the floor in controlled conditions
minimizing adverse effects on the environment and the health
hazard of the
population.
