Name: Tyler Latu’ila
D.O.B.: 4th November 1993
Place of Residence: Auckland, New Zealand
Born in Wollongong, south of Sydney, Australia and moving to
Auckland, New Zealand in 2003 just before his 10th birthday,
Tyler is proud to call New Zealand his home and even more
proud to represent New Zealand in Volleyball.
Tyler has always been athletic, he grew up playing soccer and
participated in Athletics (track and field). Introduced to
Volleyball in High School, Tyler’s direction changed. His focus
became, and still is, Volleyball. Motivated and driven, he gives
every spare minute to the game.
Tyler has seen many successes and received a number of
prestigious awards due to his determination, commitment and
outstanding talent and athletic ability.
Recognised as a remarkable sportsman, Tyler been selected to
represent New Zealand, this year in the South East Asian Men’s
Volleyball Championship in Yangon, Myanmar in August 2012.

5. Top Sports Students Honoured at
One Tree Hill College
DUX LUDORUM
One Tree Hill College sporting stars, Johanna Su'a and Tyler Latu'ila have been
recognised for reaching the highest levels in their respective sporting arenas.
Both students were also recently honoured by the college and announced as
Dux Ludorums for 2011.
Tyler has been the college's sports captain and leader of the senior boy's
volleyball team. This year he has been a key member of the New Zealand
Under 19 Volleyball Team.

Represent New Zealand
in Myanmar
Volleyball New Zealand does not receive
funding so Tyler needs to raise the funds to
represent New Zealand in Myanmar in August
2012.
The cost to Tyler is $3500 NZD and we are
asking for financial support to help send Tyler
to Myanmar.

make this trip a reality will be greatly
