The Rocky Mountains
The Rocky
Mountains
are a
mountain
range that
stretches
from Alaska
to New
Mexico
They are the largest
mountain range in the
United States! They stretch
a total of 3,000 miles
They are a
younger
mountain
range
they are
only 80
million
years old.
-Skiing
-Snowboarding
-Hiking
New York
New York is one of the best places to
find American culture
While their just walking
around showed me the
diverse American
community. For Example
at every turn of the eye I
saw many different
ethnicities. Which
perfectly describes
America because
everyone is different.
World Trade Center
• One of the many issues going on today in America is the
growing fight and battle of terrorism. Terrorism is a very sad
topic in New York because one of the worst terrorist attacks in
history happened here.
• Since then, there have been many wars that are still going
on today to hopefully end this constant threat. In October of
2001, America sent their troops to Iraq to try to end terrorism.
Since then the troops have pulled out of Iraq an know are
fighting in Afghanistan.
Grand Canyon
-Hiking
-Nature
walks
-The Grand Canyon in located in
Arizona
-It was carved out by the Colorado
River , which took around 2 billion
years
-The Canyons stretch 277 miles
Niagara Falls
-I went on the Maid of
the Mist, a boat that
takes you up close to
the falls
-The Falls are shared between both
Canada and the USA.
-The largest waterfall is the Horseshoe
Falls
- The Falls dump 64,750 ft/s of water per sec.
Québec
• Canada is influenced
heavily by the
Europeans.
• They Speck both English
and French
• Hockey is their national
sports are Ice Hockey
(winter) and Lacrosse
(summer)
• They are a very diverse
country
Northern Lights - Manitoba
• The Northern
lights are a
BEAUTIFUL
sensation in the
sky caused by
charged particles.
• It was a great
experience to see
the sky dance.
Canadian Forests
• A growing issue in Canada is the
Environmental Problems. For Example
– Air Pollution- Canada is a growing country and
because of that there are many cities which
means lots of pollution.
– Logging- Canada has many large trees and with
paper and wood being in high demand the
amount of trees is decreasing.
London
• London is great
place to experience
Europe because it is
a Cultural Hearth.
• A typical food found
in London is Fish
and Chips
• The People over
their dress the same
as Americans
Swiss Alps
• The Alps cover 65% of
all the land in
Switzerland
• The largest Mountain
is Monte Rosa it is
4,545 meters tall
• The Mountains reach
three Climate zones
– The Subalpine
– The Alpine
– The Glacial
-Skiing
-Paragliding
-Hiking
London
• On May 22 2013 a Soldier was stabbed in
London outside of his barracks
• After the man was stabbed the one if the
suspects was caught on video rambling on
about what happened
• When the police arrived both suspects were
shot and are now hospitalized
Drive on Lake Baikal
• Lake Baikal is a large
lake in Siberia and
every year in the
winter it freeze and
cars can drive over it
• Lake Baikal is the most
voluminous freshwater
lake in the world
• It is the oldest lake
also, they say it is 25
million years old.
Driving on Lake Baikal was one of the scariest things
I did while I was on my journey around the world.
Saint Basil's Cathedral
• The church was built in
1555-61 by Ivan the
terrible
• It was originally known
as Trinity Cathedral
• Location: Red Square,
Moscow
• The bright colors and
unique onion domes
make it different from
other churches.
This church was very vibrant with all
the different colors and designs. It
was my favorite church too see on
my journey
Russian Children
• In Russia they
recently passed a law
that says Americans
cannot adopt Russian
children.
• Russian President
Vladimir Putin signed
this in December of
2012 and now
people even in the
process of adopting
will not be able to
adopt.
Himalayas
• The Himalayas is a
mountain range with
some of the largest
peaks in the world.
• The largest mountain:
Mount Everest its
peak is 29,029 feet.
• Himalaya means
“abode of snow”
-I climbed the largest peak
in the world
-skiing
-visited local tribes
Chinese Market
• Chinese markets
are traditional
ways that people
who make goods,
sell them
• This tradition is
very old their was
no grocery stores
to go to this
was/still is their
grocery store
Korea
• North Koreas leader Kim Jong-un is famous for his
leadership in North Korea
• He is very violent for example: He has been threatening to
send a Nuclear Bomb over to America.
• His people worship him even though he does bad things
• Kim Jong-un teaches his people to hate Americans
• He has been in office since his father died in 2011
Great Barrier Reef
• The GBR is the
largest chain of
reefs in the world
• 2,900 individual
reefs
• 1,600 miles long
• Tourism in the
reefs is the
largest source of
revenue in the
area
-snorkeling
-glass bottom boats
-Sunset cruise
Outback
• The Aborigines are the native Australians they
were in Australia before the Europeans
• They were from southern Asia but came to
Australia 40,000 years ago
Uluru
• Uluru is a large rock in the
middle of the Outback, that
the Aborigines believe in a
sacred place.
• The issue is that because
the Uluru is believed to be
sacred the Aborigines are
fighting to get their land
back.
• In 1983 the Prime Minster
signed a document saying
that in 99 years the
Aborigines can have their
land back
Western Esplanade Beach
a.k.a Junkanoo Beach
Located in Nassau, it has turquoise
water and fine, white sand.
When the temperature heats
up, this is the place to be!
Restaurants and snack
bars are only a few steps
away!
Caribbean Islands
• If you go during the winter
you can experience the
yearly festival of Junkanno!
• The festival happens two
times a year:
– December 26 and again
on New Years Day.
• Bahamians make elaborate
disposable costumes, then
everyone hits the streets
for parties and night
parades.

-Watch Parades
Aruba
• Natalee Holloway went on a
vacation to Aruba for her
senior year
• Natalee was partying one
night with her friends and
was never seen again
• Their have been some
suspects but none were
guilty
• She has been proven dead
but her body has still not
been found
The Nile River
• The Nile River is the
longest river in the
world running for a
total of 4,000 miles.
• The Nile empty’s out
in the Mediterranean
Sea. Which means that
the Nile flows north.
• 95% of the Egyptian
people use water from
the Nile
-Surfed the Nile
-Went boating
Ancient Egypt
• Ancient Egypt is known for their unique pyramids
and statues that have perfect math and angles.
• Ancient Egypt was discovered by King Menes in
3150 BC and ended in 332 BC
• Egypt has very fertile ground do to the Nile River
• Egypt has a unique culture because something's
are Modern something's date back thousands of
years ago
Poor Africa
• Africa is has some
of the poorest
countries in the
world and because
of that they don’t
have much money
they are very
malnourished
• Over 300 million
live on one dollar a
day with access to
no clean water
-Helped the Poor people
-Built homes
-Gave out food
Andes Mountains
• The Andes are the longest mountain range in
the world stretching almost the whole left side
of South America
• The tallest peak in the Andes is Aconcagua it is
22,837.3 ft tall.
Peru
• A tradition in Peru is to
ride an Alpaca into the
Andes mountains
• Alpacas are also used
for their soft fur
• This may seem strange
to us but this is a
tradition dating back
hundreds of years.
Mexico
• Drug Trading is one of the
greatest crime threat to
the United States
• There have been many
efforts to try to stop this
but there are so many
cartels it will never end
• 90% of Cocaine and 80%
of Meth enters the USA
through Mexico
Rub Al-Khali
• Rub Al-Khali means “empty
quarter” or “where know
one comes out”
• Dunes can reach 800 feet tall
• 10 years can pass without
rain
• Temperatures can reach 150
degrees
• It is located in The Arabian
Peninsula
Jerusalem
• There are three major religions that all trace
back to Jerusalem

Jesus is the Messiah

• After WW2 the UN felt
bad for the Jews and
gave them the land of

Palestinians were still
living their
• The Israeli people over
the years have been
taking more and more of
