About Intern America:
It is an honor to introduce you Intern America. Our mission is “Building America’s future by connecting the next generation of leaders with today’s employers”. We are not a staffing or placement company, so we do not charge the high fees those types of companies do. We are a partnership for interns and employers and our goal is to help people identify their individual purpose, passion and path, then connect them with the RIGHT employer offering the RIGHT opportunity.
We offer 3 and 6 month internships which translate into an educational and work experience for the interns and an opportunity for employers to experience short term talent and allow them to identify potential future hires. This is not just about “making a placement” but rather opening a door for future success.
The unemployment rate continues to rise in the US and employers are struggling to sustain and grow their businesses. Former President Bill Clinton has said ”America just works better when more people have a chance to live their dreams”. We are all responsible and Intern America is committed to the future of America. On the next pages, we have detailed how our recruitment, placement and support methodologies work.
About Denver’s “HOTTEST” Intern:
Unemployment is still an issue for more than 219,732 people in Colorado . New college graduates are entering the workforce at an all-time high, leaving 22.4% without work, while 22% are working but not in a field that requires a degree. While this generation of 18-35 year-olds is facing adversity in the job market, they are still among some of the nation’s top consumers, spending $200 billion dollars annually.
Intern America and HOT 107.1 have recognized the need for jobs among this demographic and have partnered with each other to find Denver’s “HOTTEST” Intern, while also putting Colorado back to work! This competition will be an interactive, 13 - week long campaign where Intern America and HOT 107.1 will search for five qualified individuals who will have the chance to intern with HOT 107.1. During this time HOT 107.1 will actively recruit their listeners to get involved and apply for an opportunity of a lifetime and Intern America will use their in – house matching system and interview processes to ensure they find the RIGHT intern. Once the TOP 5 candidates have been chosen, there will be a series of job related competitions, giving each of them an opportunity to prove that they have what it takes to be the first ever, “HOT” intern turned employee. Throughout the 13 - week long campaign, listeners will have an opportunity to vote for the best intern and at the end of the competition, we will announce the winner at a LIVE city - wide event that the interns themselves will have planned and marketed for. In addition to HOT 107.1, seven other local companies have also joined forces to help this campaign be a success and ultimately, play a role in helping put Colorado back to work.

Local companies partner together for an innovative campaign with the goal of putting Colorado back to work.
Intern America has launched a 13 – week long competition, giving five individuals a chance to intern for Hot 107.1, Denver’s leading radio station.
Denver, CO. (March 16, 2012)-- Though Colorado is expected to be in the top 10 states in the nation for job growth in 2012, over 200,000 residents still remain unemployed and that does not include those graduating from college this May. Intern America, HOT 107.1, and seven participating sponsors recognize the need for economic growth and have decided to take matters into their own hands and put their community back to work with one of the newest, most innovative approaches Denver has seen to date - a 13 week long competition where listeners will have an opportunity to submit video applications for a chance to compete as one of the TOP 5 interns for HOT 107.1’s. Many will enter, five will compete as interns, and only 1 will be chosen as Colorado’s next intern with a shot for employment at HOT 107.1, Denver’s leading radio station.
"This competition isn't only about the five interns that get to compete but really about putting Colorado back to work and not just in "jobs" but in real positions where people will feel fulfilled about what they do," said Intern America owner Julia Gentry. "We hope this competition will create a movement within Colorado, where individuals and employers alike, realize the importance of job placement and recognize one of the best options available to them is internships!"
The TOP 5 applicants will be chosen using Intern America’s in-house matching system. Those five will then compete in a series of job related tasks to test their skills and professional abilities. HOT 107.1, along with the listeners, will determine who did the best at each weekly competition and at the end of the 13 weeks, one intern will be named "Colorado's HOT Intern" at a city wide event planned and implemented by the interns themselves. The winner will not only gain the title of "Colorado's HOT Intern” and win a handful of prizes, but they will have a chance to become a permanent member of the HOT 107.1 team.
Intern America, HOT 107.1 and seven other participating businesses are excited to give an individual the opportunity they have been waiting for. Listeners can go online to: http://www.internamericanow.com and click the “HOT 107.1” tab to learn how they can apply for a chance to prove themselves and become "Colorado's HOT Intern".

Frequently Asked Questions for Denver’s “HOTTEST” Intern
Do applicants have to be in college to compete or have radio/marketing experience?
NO!!! This competition is for anyone that has one, if not three, of the “HOT”. What does it mean to be “HOT”? Intern America does not mean “HOT” in the typical sense (sexy, attractive, sex appeal), but rather a “no – pun intended” sort of communication to find the best candidate for HOT 107.1’s growing team. Intern America considers someone who is “HOT” to have one of not three of the following attributes:
A strong desire to be in the radio business
A passion for PR, social media, and all other marketing practices
Someone who considers themselves fun, outgoing, appreciates a good challenge, and is comfortable/confident with who they are
What are the details of the internship that the individuals will be competing in?
The final five will be interning for and learning from HOT 107.1 for a total of 11 weeks on a part time to full time basis. Each week they will be writing a weekly blog to keep participating listeners of HOT 107.1 up to speed and will undergo a different challenge each week that will test their social networking, press release writing and distribution, sales skills, on air voice, office support, event planning, and a bit of everything in between.
What does the winner of the competition receive?
The winner will be named Denver’s “HOTTEST” Intern giving that individual forever bragging rights, prizes donated by local companies, and given a chance for employment with HOT 107.1 via their standardized hiring methods.
Do the interns have to sign any agreements to participate?
Yes. We ask all TOP 5 candidates to undergo a background check with written consent, to allow the Intern America team to call a series of references (employers and friends/acquaintances), and sign an agreement that states they are willing to adhere to the rules and required levels of integrity throughout the competition.
Who picks the TOP 5 interns to compete?
Intern America! They have an in – house matching system designed to connect the RIGHT individuals with the RIGHT opportunities so they will pick the TOP 5 most deserving individuals to compete.
Who chooses the winner of the competition?
HOT 107.1’s team, in conjunction with the listeners. HOT 107.1 has created a point system, taking into consideration the listener votes, that will grade each of the TOP 5 on a scale of one to five, one being the lowest points you can receive and five being the most. They will review time, talent, and results of each task the interns are given to master. The individual with the most points at the end of the competition will win! Listeners votes can affect the outcome so make sure to tune in and vote!!!
What happens to those individuals not chosen as one of the TOP 5?
No worries! The team at Intern America is standing by to ensure they help all applicants find another GREAT opportunity in a field they love. Individuals can e-mail today at Support@InternAmericaNow.com and they will help get you started!
