to the role of ISM, the

source of information." Christopher Ferris has been the sales systems manager at Saab Nashua North,
located in southern New Hampshire, for six years. He is a former executive
John Schmitz recruiter, Fortune 500 corporate security manager and U.S. Army
I.S.M. tactical intelligence officer who served in both infantry and special forces units.
Beaman Automotive Chris received the most creative Internet Sales Professional award at the March
Nashville, TN 2007 AAISP digital dealer conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

you can use his methods of extracting available information about potential
customers from the Internet before ever having a conversation with the prospect.
As an award-winning ISM for Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix Arizona, Ralph Paglia
became recognized as a leading-edge authority on Internet automotive sales.
Interviews, accolades, cover stories and speaking invitations followed and today,
Ralph is Director of Digital Marketing for ADP Dealer Services. His session is
tentatively titled "Transactional eCommerce Web Sites for Car Dealers."
“A transactional Web site allows a consumer to do the same thing as existing
transactional websites. New digital marketing prototypes are being piloted by
several major dealer groups, allowing consumers to pick a car from the dealership's
inventory, negotiate a price, get approved for financing, select their accessories and
F&I products, pay their down payment to the dealer online, and receive a DMS
generated deal number and full finance disclosures on a real time basis,” says
Paglia.

2. 3rd Digital Dealer Conference & Exposition: October 1-3, 2007
Sandi Jerome is Editor of Digital Dealer magazine, a former dealership controller,
system administrator, F&I manager, Assistant GM and Fixed Operations Manager.
Sandi owns Sandi Jerome Computer Consulting and a CRM software company, and
is considered the “guru” of dealership technology issues.
Sandi’s session is titled “10 Things Internet Sales Managers Have Always Wanted to
Ask... But Don’t”. How is gross profit calculated in car deals? Why are there
chargebacks? What does the pack do? How does that R+R/ADP/UCS system work?
Can I measure the profitability of my Internet department? What kind of reports
can I run and how? How is buy rate determined? If you have questions that
you've always wanted to ask the controller, general manager, or F&I manager, here
is your chance to ask. Sandi Jerome has over 30 years in the business and knows
how the accounting office, F&I office, and whole dealership works including your
DMS systems and other technology. Attend this seminar to find out how the "other
world" works and feel free to ask her any question you've always wanted ask…but
haven’t. This session is a must…after all, the time is coming when dealerships will
be run by ex-ISMs.
Mike Stewart is the “guru” of Internet audio, podcasting & video blogging tools.
Mike comes from outside of the retail automotive business to share his insights,
experience and expertise because this opportunity is going to be HUGE going
forward. Don’t wait until you see your competition using these tools and
technologies, get out ahead of the pack, because you know it’s headed this
direction.
Craig Criswell is a regular contributor to Digital Dealer magazine. Craig started
writing for Digital Dealer when he was an Internet Sales Manager. Craig then
founded Internet Certified Dealer, a consulting and training organization for the
retail automotive industry. Today, Craig is…back in the saddle again as an Internet
Sales Manager. So Craig has been there, done that, taught others how to do it and
now he’s doing it himself again. Craig will be sharing what he sees as the most
compelling issues ISMs face, and how to deal with them and/or take advantage
with them.
For such a young guy, Todd Smith goes waaaaaaaay back in the retail automobile
business. For years, Todd sold vehicles at new and used dealerships, before
embarking on a career as a dealership sales technology expert. Todd was speaking
as an authority at Internet sales conferences 7-8 years ago. Maybe he just looks
young…or has a youthful attitude? After spending a number of years as VP of
Marketing for DealerUps, Todd took over a friend’s struggling NJ Chevrolet
dealership in the last year. Todd is putting into practice all the technologies /
solutions / applications that he has explained / pitched / promoted over the years
and the results have been staggering. Find out how he’s doing it.
Kathy Kimmel began her automotive career with DaimlerChrysler, where she
worked as a district manager supporting sales and service initiatives as well as Five
star processes. Kathy also served as manager of a business development center
(BDC) for two Mercedes Benz stores and she led her department to contribute 25
percent to 30 percent of the store’s monthly sales. She also directed training/
customer satisfaction programs for 27 AutoNation retail locations.
Kathy brings more than 15 years automotive industry and dealership management
experience to her role as a training manager for Cars.com. Her expertise covers
every aspect of the dealership, from managing sales and service operations to
driving customer satisfaction and implementing training programs to mentor new
employees and groom seasoned managers. Her current daily responsibilities include
creating and performing training for dealership personnel that focuses on best
practices for Internet sales.
OTHER CONFIRMED SPEAKERS:

PLUS, for the first time, we’re offering a ½ day “Newbie” training session, so that even the newest
neophyte to the business can get up to speed and get the max out of the two days of sessions and
events.
ALSO, we’ve taken the input from 114 attendee surveys from the last event and made the following
improvements to make this event even better than the previous two combined:
● Longer sessions than the last two conferences - more time for presentation - more time for Q&A.
● More peers and consultants / trainers speaking, less vendors speaking - predominately
practitioners and consultants / trainers doing the speaking.
● All sessions will be how-to, hands-on, nuts & bolts, execution-oriented - we're avoiding overviews
and future prognostications. Just the facts, ma'am.

Agenda
In order to accommodate getting you into the sessions you most want to attend, we will have all
registrants sign up for specific sessions online after registration is closed, as opposed to having sessions
set and then attendees having to select from a set agenda once they get there. We will then determine
the best times for each session and most appropriately sized rooms. As such, we cannot yet give times of
sessions as this will not be set until 30 days from the event. Please refer to “Speakers” to see what
sessions are being held on what topics, and please select your sessions online when asked via email.
The purpose of this is to avoid anyone not being able to attend a particular session because of a full
REGISTER HERE room, or missing a session because there were two at the same time that they really wanted to attend.
Also, the most popular sessions may be scheduled to be repeated if demand dictates.
