Objective: To study building behavior during earthquakes always depends on its strength, durability, stiffness and adequacy of the regular configuration of the structure. Methods: The analysis always depends on the forces and importance on the cost of analyzing the structure. Creating the 3D building model for both linear and non-linear dynamic method of analyses. Understanding the seismic behavior of Setback buildings and Co-relating the seismic behavior of the Setback building with that of a building without Setback finally comparing the seismic behavior of building with a setback at every two levels to that of the building with a setback at each floor level. Study the influence of vertical irregularity in the building when subjected to earthquakes. Findings: The present study is limited to reinforced concrete framed structure designed for seismic loads (DL, LL & EL). The seismic behavior of three 8-Storied buildings with and without setbacks was studied. The buildings were analyzed using Time History Analysis and Response Spectrum Method and. Novelty: The effect of Setback is studied considering the parameters such as Time Period, storey drifts, Displacements, Storey Shears, Bending Moments and Shear Forces and correlated with the building without a setback.

Respond to… According to Northouse (2018), bass identified the following four transformational leadership factors: 1. Idealized Influence is the component of leadership where a leader leads in a way that inspires his or her followers to want to follow. Leaders that are able to lead with idealized influence lead in a way that creates trust with followers. Leaders foster trust by typically leading in a moral and ethical manner and are characterized by their followers as a person that does the right thing. In my career I have experienced many leaders that I respected and chose to follow due to their high morality and desire to do the right thing. However, one particular leader stands out. I currently work for a large scale medical provider and our Chief Medical Officer (CMO), is someone that leads with idealized influence, people want to follow him because he inspires us all to do the right thing and to administer medicine in a way that positions us all to deliver on our mission, which is delivering hello humankindness. Furthermore, our CMO teaches new providers, we are an academic medical provider, to deliver hello humankindness and reach people on a personal level; building rapport and establishing relationships that are built on trust, respect, and transparency for the greater good of humanity instead of for the good of making money. 2. Inspirational Motivation- According to Northouse (2018), "This factor is descriptive of leaders who communicate high expectations to followers, inspiring them through motivation to become committed to and a part of the shared vision in the organization" (section 8.1, para. 25). Leaders that chose to create inspiration do so by creating a work enviornement that fosters the desire for his or her staff to want to complete the work in the prescribed manner because it is a way that is mutually beneficial to the organization, team and department. Leaders that creation inspirational motivation clearly communicate expectations and goals. 3. Intellectual Stimulation is leadership that creates a desire within followers to challenge the status quo by being innovative, thinking outside of the box, and by creating two way communication. Followers that experience intellectual stimulation are constantly thinking about different and more efficient ways to complete the work without being asked to do so. intellectual stimulation is present when staff is engaged and thinking critically. 4. Individualized Consideration is leading in way that seeks to listen to staff for the purposes of helping to continuously move forward, to evolve in their career and in their work. Leaders that exhibit individualized consideration do so by spending time with each person on their team to develop them, to coach them and to position them to achieve their goals; they do this in a unique and individualized way for each person. In my current role, I meet with each person on my team monthly for a one on one. During this time we talk about d.

The purpose of this assignment is for you to reflect on where you currently are in your leadership capabilities; define where you want to go; and specify goals, plans, and a timeframe for achieving your professional objectives. Your professional development plan will be composed of three parts: Vision, Goals/Objectives, and Plans. Vision: The ability to create, communicate, and compel vision is critical to inspiring and effective leadership. While ultimately many leaders are responsible for developing visions to guide complex organizations, effective leadership begins on a much more personal level—a vision of yourself as a leader. Who are you and who do you want to become in your field or sphere of influence? Once you are clear about that, you can then confidently establish how you will help others and your organization achieve their visions. Your leadership vision is based on a number of factors including your attitude, values, personal beliefs, guiding principles, and how you behave. It may also be influenced by theoretical, philosophical, or religious frameworks and the leadership traits, values, and behaviors of others. A leadership vision is also dynamic. No great leader ever "arrived." Those who have adopted leadership as their vocation can spend a lifetime in self-reflection in order to continue to learn and more effectively motivate and inspire others. Spend some time reflecting below on where you currently are in your leadership capabilities, what you have learned about leadership in the course, and how you want to develop and improve as you continue your leadership studies and move forward in your field. Review the document “Essential Leadership Competencies” for an overview of the scope of effective leadership capabilities. Reflection: Vision: Then, in 300-500 words, briefly articulate your vision for yourself as a leader 3-5 years from now. Where do you want to be? What kind of leader do you want to become? Goals/Objectives: After you have stated your vision, create five to eight leadership goals/objectives you will strive to meet in the next 3-5 years. Try to formulate at least one goal/objective related to the four major leadership competencies included in "Essential Leadership Competencies": self-leadership, leading others, leading an organization, and leadership as a vocation. Include a brief justification for each goal/objective to explain how it will help you achieve the qualities of professional excellence and integrity required of excellent leaders.
