headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. UMB operates banking and wealth management centers throughout
Missouri, Illinois, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Arizona and Texas.
Manager - Disaster Recovery (2009 – 2015)
 Managed disaster recovery plans for the entire organization which prevented any major events
causing issues.
 Worked closely with the business continuity manager on developing DR plans and running
annual full recovery exercises to achievable goals.
 Managed the disaster recovery process companywide during emergency weather events that shut
down travel and business in Kansas City, and required finding alternative sites to complete all
bank functions with no interruptions.
 Developed a crisis management team to respond to all potential DR events and determine
appropriate actions and mitigate future risk.
 Coordinated and directed resources and information on internal information technology
compliance and audit, as well as with the Federal Reserve Bank and the Office of the Comptroller
of the Currency information technology compliance agents and auditors and resolved all issues.
Manager - Infrastructure (2004 – 2009)
 Team comprised of six direct reports and over 80 associates.
 Prepared a budget annually between $2 - $4 million for the company’s infrastructure and
managed to budget.
 Directed the company’s infrastructure hardware and software including the data center and data
security with no Data breeches or Main Frame failures.
 Served as Electronic Security Information Officer (EISO), as elected by the board, and formed
security committee to oversee entire organization.
 Developed company Security standards based on ISO and COBIT.
 Led the effort to harden data center and build out our redundancies using the “fortress mentality”.
This included dual power feeds, dual water feeds, two different network providers.
 Planned and developed disaster recovery site to a functioning work site.
 Worked with mission critical business units for business recovery space for 130 bank back office
associates.
 Led the application teams to build out 63 mission critical applications to disaster recovery /
business continuity center.

Support, and managed to budget.
 Led over application groups with a staff of over 70 employees that installed and supported all
core banking systems.
 Project manager in charge of the conversion of over 40 banks to a new deposit and loans system
on time and on budget.
 Worked with the banking operations team on implementing and supporting new software and
processes for online banking and wire processing systems that accelerated our online presence.
