The Kingsport Archives is located in the Kingsport Public Library and collects historical documents and artifacts relating to the city of Kingsport in order to preserve local history. An archivist appraises, organizes, and makes available materials such as photographs, records, and manuscripts that have enduring value for researchers. The Archives aims to identify and protect historically significant records, provide access to patrons, and help connect people to Kingsport's past.
