Some details on the choices I made when making my artist website

1. MAKING MY WEBSITE
Here are a some screenshots from the process of
making my artist website on Wix.com

2. After researching existing artist websites I had decided that I really like the idea of having a
slideshow on the homepage, consisting of photographs that were taken on the shoots. Not
only does it add to the aesthetic of the website, but it creates a stronger sense of corporate
identity – the artist will be instantly recognised through the digipack, website and music video,
strengthening the brand.

3. An important feature of a promotional website is a Social Bar – usually located in the
top/bottom corner of the website page. I also ticked the box ‘show on all pages’ to
ensure the Facebook and Twitter icons would be a prominent part of the entire website,
and easily accessible, rather than just on the homepage.

4. TWITTER
I went onto the official Sean Bones Twitter account, @seanbones and linked it to the Social
Bar so that instead of being a blank logo, by clicking on it, the user could be linked directly
to the Twitter page.

5. FACEBOOK
I did the same with the official Facebook page, facebook.com/seanbonesmusic and linked it
to the Social Bar on my website.

6. Whilst researching Sean Bones in my ‘artist research’ blog post, I found that he uses
SoundCloud to upload his music. Although he has a YouTube channel, he seems to
upload more exclusive clips onto SoundCloud, so I decided to link one of his singles from
his account to the homepage of my website. I also added several more links to the
‘MUSIC’ page of my website.

7. Whilst researching Sean Bones in my ‘artist research’ blog post, I found that he uses
