As the Volunteer Coordinator, I recruit adults and teens to: *Serve in the Teen Advisory Group *Shelf DVDs *Prepare materials for and assist at library programs *Serve as Book Buddies *Clean books and computers *Assist with library outreach programs in the community *Perform clerical duties and make telephone calls *Register Summer Reading Program participants *I also supervise teens needing to complete community service hours for high school and religious requirements.

My goals are: • to become a member of a library’s Young Adult team • to gain familiarity with Young Adult literature and technology • to establish professional relationships with others in that field • to win the trust of the library’s teen patrons • to pass my ideas for development of the YA department on to my coworkers and receive the same from them

6. I am creative and would bring new ideas to the library. I am inspired by reading books, library websites and blogs. I am a good listener. This helps me to learn, as well as gain the trust and respect of my coworkers and library patrons. I am hard working, dependable and eager to take on new responsibilities. A self-starter, I am focused and detail-oriented.
