LeNS SOUTH AMERICA ON DfS: WIN-WIN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE AFRICAN DESIGN HEIs A LeNS-LIKE NETWORK: . is cost efficient : the web platform is free of charge . is time efficient : teachers need simply to up-load slideshows (eventually recorded), texts, etc. they prepare for their lectures . is knowledge-building efficient : focused copyleft resources speed-up learning-by-sharing-for teaching, i.e. remix/reuse others’ learning resources . is inclusive: DfS focus to be defined by South American partners . is imperative: sustainability must have a South American perspective . increases potential for public fundraising : with an established network it is easier to successfully apply for any public fund . increases potential for private fundraising : reputation and visibility to attract consultancy on design for sustainability
