2. I feel the target audience would be of a mature age to be able to
understand the narrative and stay interested in the film. Narrowed down,
my target audience would be generally males of the age 18-45. This is
due to the content being more appealing to this demographic due to that
dark theme and context which it is set, that stereotypically people of other
age groups wouldn’t find appealing. In further context, younger and older
audiences either side the target demographic would likely not be
appealed due to themes created by my film as from my research I found
that a film with my type of storyline (lone survivors) wouldn’t have
appealed to audiences of that type.
WHO WOULD MY AUDIENCE BE?

3. In contrast, my film would also appeal to British people or people that
speak the English language. This is due to the context and the setting.
Due to my film being set in England and having English actors, this means
the and English audience would be able to relate to feelings that are
generated by the cinematography and the narrative. As a result, my main
target audience is British people as people from other backgrounds
wouldn’t be able to relate anywhere near as much as a British mature
audience.
WHO WOULD MY AUDIENCE BE?

4. I attracted this audience through the use of existing conventions and
Themes that arose from doing my research. The use of a recognisable
storyline in comparison with other post apocalyptic films would have
drawn the existing audiences in. However adding a different flare onto the
typical survival film such as it being British, or the fact that the
protagonists are being chased, hence the title, could have brought in a
new audience or reinforced the existing audience. Another way I was able
to attract my audience was through post production audience feedback.
From this I was able to tweak things like sound and colour grading from
the feedback that my target audience gave me. This was an effective way
to attract more of my target audience as the product was made more
appealing to the rest of the audience through the feedback.
