Motivation involves effort, a desire to learn, and a positive attitude. There are two types of motivation: external motivation which comes from outside influences, and internal motivation which comes from within. To best motivate children to learn English, teachers should present lessons using music, games, physical activities, and a fun learning environment with varied activities. Effective strategies include using songs, movement games, puppets, visual aids, real objects, and flashcards. Motivational approaches can help children learn English more quickly.
