Liz Gomez created a logo and poster to defend her design choices. For the logo, she used black, red, and blue colors that represented qualities like courage, friendship, calmness and honesty. She incorporated a paw print and wolf eye shape based on her personality test results. For the poster, she chose a quote about spreading light as a candle or reflector because it represented how anyone can spread happiness. She used different fonts like Crackling Fire and a mirror font to emphasize key words in the quote and used complementary colors between the text and candle image.
3. Why the color(s)?
• When it came to the colors I used three colors:
• Black so it was a simple design and not two flashy.
• Red to emphasize the claw marks on the wolf eye, using the
“Color in motion” website I found out that red represented
courage, friendship. Which are important things to have
• Blue was the last color I used and I decided on using this color
because it was my favorite color, when I imagine a wolf
(especially a black one like the ones that are my favorite) them
having blue eyes are very innocent and beautiful. On the “Color
in Motion” website I found that blue represented Calmness,
Dignity, Hope, and Honesty which are really good qualities to
have.
4. Why the shape(s)?
• When I took the “What shape is your
personality?” test I choose the shapes:
squiggle, circle, and triangle. Playing around
with those three shapes I decided to make a
paw print and wolf eye to incorporate my love
of wolves into my logo.
6. Why the quote?
• I chose the quote “There are two ways of
spreading light to be the candle or the light
that reflects it” because when I read this
quote I found the truth In this quote on how
anyone can spread happiness, and hope to
anyone.
7. Why the picture?
• I chose this picture because it’s a nice
visualization of the quote.
8. Why the font?
• I chose to make all the other words except for
“Candle” and “Mirror” in Times New Roman,
so it was a nice basic font everyone has seen
before. Then I typed “Candle” in the Crackling
Fire font from 1001fonts.com to have a fire
looking font and I wrote Mirror in a reflecting
mirror font to just emphasize those two
words.
9. Why the font color?
• I chose this font color because it
complimented the color of the candle.
10. Why the font color?
• I chose this font color because it
complimented the color of the candle.
