Chapter 11, Lesson 1: Periods and Other End Marks
Periods:
-after a declarative sentence
-after almost every imperative sentence
-after an indirect question
-an indirect question reports what a person
asked without using the person's exact words
ex:
Direct- The aide asked, "Which route should I take sir?"
Indirect- The aide asked the general which route to take.
