Original Background
The document that I will be RE/mixing is my research paper. The Research Paper is about the Bath
School Disaster of 1927 and it’s a 7 page paper about what makes a murderer and commonalities
between serial killers in comparison to the perpetrator Andrew Kehoe.
New Background
I would like to create a video/slideshow presentation that I will upload to youtube. This presentation will
include photos and text about the Bath Disaster and it will also include narration and music.
Materials Needed
I will need a video generating program so I will be using windows movie maker. I will need a lot of
pictures that I will have to get off of the internet and I’m hoping to get some kind of video footage about
serial killers that will pertain to my topic. I would also like to use narration and music in my video.

1. How will your new mode address your old and new audiences?
I would like to create a moving document that will help people to understand the magnitude of the
Bath School Disaster and how it could have possibly been preventable based on warning signs
shown by Andrew Kehoe. The video presentation will be effective to show the audience the extent
of what Kehoe did and it will keep their attention like reading a paper cannot.
2. How will your new mode strongly illustrate your intended purpose?
I want to use a video presentation because I believe that will be the most effective media to get
my point across because it will capture the audiences interest and the pictures will have an impact on
the audience that words alone can’t provide.
3. What specifically makes this new mode the most effective in
representing your content?

2. What makes a video presentation the most effective form of media for this project is the fact that
through editing, music, narration, video, and photos it can be a very interesting and moving
piece. For the disaster topic I chose, it pertains to everyone because it’s about what makes a
serial killer and the warning signs as well as the magnitude of Andrew Kehoe who snapped. If
people see odd behavior that raises their suspicions they should definitely report it.
4. How will this RE/mix project help you with your major and with your
writing?
I think that innovation is key and if you can take something old and make into a new more effective
product than you have a life skill. It’s always good to be able to revamp your work and that will
carry with me through college and life.
