- Modern radios need to be digital – FS sees this as the basis for introducing new technologies.Digital radios can already do much more for the consumer and allow to go even further in the evolution.But first we should put an eye on what we have already in the market today.
- Simple portable radios, mono speaker, battery and AC powered. From the look there is no much difference to standard FM only radios. Simple does not mean cheap, but cost sensitive. Such radio usage is well known and do not differ from past experience.
- Dockers for persons who like to share their music with others if they want or not.Dockers are different to typical radios. They allow sharing content. In fact they are the evolution of cassette player or CD player.
- Battery and solar powered radio are enabled through the technology trends to optimize power consumption.Optimization of power consumption is an important topic today and the industry takes care on this trend.
- Portable radios allow listening in locations and under conditions which are not always typical for a radio. Here are some examples of products which allow radio listening in different ways than before (at the Laptop, with the smart phone).
- Terrestrial digital radio runs into all kinds of audio systems. A lot of streaming solutions offer such reception in addition.The user has the impression that otherwise the system is not complete.As such solutions are „real“ investements the user likes to get a future proof radio solution.
