- In this keynote session, Lori Reed will discuss how libraries must pave the way as leaders in learning and information literacy. Discover why libraries play such a crucial role in education. Hear about some of the trends in learning through social media. Discover to become a champion of learning and information literacy.Ms. Reed is the Learning & Development Coordinator for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library where she oversees the learning & development of more than 500 employees. With more than 15-years experience in workplace learning and training. Her passions are performance consulting, learning strategies, and e-learning. She was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker in 2009 for her work in learning and training and is the managing editor of the popular library blog ALA Learning. Ms. Reed is co-authoring a book on leadership for library trainers that will be published later this year.
