2. ACTOR DECISIONS
I have decided to use my friends Amy and Jess as the
actors in my music video, as I feel that they will be easy
to work with because we have known each other for so
long.
Amy (on the right) will play the role of the star in my
music video as she said that she would feel comfortable
lip synching to the track as she had already heard it.
Jess (on the left) will be portraying the stars best friend
in the video as the theme of friendship is present in the
song lyrics. I chose jess for this role as she and Amy
have been friends since primary school. I felt that as
they had been friends for so long their friendship would
be clearly seen in the music video.

3. COSTUME DECISIONS

4. SINGER COSTUME
I really like Lana Del Rey’s style, and have decided
to replicate this in my music video. I chose for the
singer to be wearing a white dress to reflect purity
and beauty but also reflect the vintage style of
Lana Del Rey. I decided that the actor should also
wear a leather jacket to portray a rebellious side
which links to the lyrics of the song. I also decided
that the actor should wear vintage style heels, and
found a pair with laces to again reflect Lana Del
Rey’s style.

5. FRIEND COSTUME
I decided to create a clear difference between
the actors so that the audience is able to tell
them apart. The actor playing the singers
friend will be wearing a blouse top in a bold
colour with a black skirt or shorts. My actor
has a red blouse with gold stud on the collar
reflecting a rebellious side to the actor and
reflecting how she is playing the friend who
led the singer astray. I also decided that she
should again be wearing heels.

6. PROP DECISIONS
No props will be used in the video as I feel that they are not
needed to portray the idea I have and help my video link to the
song lyrics.

7. MAKE-UP AND HAIR

8. BOTH ACTORS
I decided to go with natural make-up for both actors
as I felt that this signified raw beauty and purity.
However to link the actor playing the role of the
singer to the vintage style of Lana Del Rey, I decided
she would wear red lipstick .
Originally I had wanted the star to wear her hair down
but as windy weather has been forecast for the day of
filming, I have asked her to put her hair in a bun, as I
feel this hairstyle will also link to the vintage style. The
other actor will wear her hair down as originally
planned. She only appears in a few shots so we will be
able to work around the windy weather.
