Step 1: Know the department and position of your interviewer 10/6/2009 © 2009, Lynn Hazan & Associates, Inc. 5 He/she might have a list of questions to ask you to determine if you will be chosen for an in-person interview. Be precise and concise in your answers, and make sure that you have fulfilled his/her expectations.
Step 2: Know how much time you have with your interviewer If a hiring manager can speak with you, you may have a little more time as compared with HR. Step 2: Know how much time you have with your interviewer Tell the interviewer the 3 things he/she should know about you before the end of the call. Make sure he/she knows why you want to join the company. Be precise and concise in your answers. 10/6/2009 © 2009, Lynn Hazan & Associates, Inc. 7

Develop a rapport with your interviewer. Smile – because it will be heard in your voice. Remember – your job is to get an in-person meeting.

Be precise and concise in your answers, and make sure that you have fulfilled his/her expectations.

Develop a rapport with your interviewer. Smile – because it will be heard in your voice. Remember – your job is to get an in-person meeting.
