1. <br />Within these different screen-grabs, although they are very different and from different films, the distinct conventions of film noir are apparent.<br />In the first screen shot, we can see a defined outline of a man in a suit. The print, which displays the actors’ names, is big and bold. The defined shadows are a main convention of film noir.<br />Throughout the different shots we can see very shallow lighting, a large ‘maze-like’ city, a Femme Fetal, and a claustrophobic environment. <br />
