2. Intertitles were used in silent films during the
1920’s, to show character dialogue.
Nowadays intertitles are used in trailers this is to
give a general idea of the narrative of the trailer.
They also give important information such as the
distribution institution, directors name and actors
staring in the film.
3. A black background is conventionally
used in horror trailers, to portray the
same horror affect when displaying
details of the film and so the
typeface can clearly be seen.
4. Some ideas for intertitles to edit into the trailer.
Showing the cast, when the movie will come out
and general narrative of the film.
5. This type face would go well with the
theme of out trailer, as the font looks
as if it has been painted on to the
page, changing the colour could
give it the blood and gore effect.
This typeface would not go with
the trailer as the genre is slasher,
also some of the letters aren’t
clear.
This typeface, is similar to the first
one, with the dripping of the
letters, but this typeface doesn't
created the same effect of the first
one.
