You’ve been given two “what can I do” discussion triggers written by
Professor Jenny Martin, NHMRC Fellow and ARC Australian Laureate Fellow 2010-2014
• Ten Simple Rules to Achieve Conference Speaker Gender Balance
• But what can I do for gender equality? Easy, start here.
Activity:
Peer to peer
1. Skim and scan the triggers
2. Arrive at peer consensus about which is most relevant to your situation
3. Discuss at least 2 of the ideas for what you can do
4. There will not be a report back to the whole group

Identify one thing you can do for gender equity in research

Activity 2: One thing I can do for gender equity in research – 20 minutes 7 Resources: You’ve been given two “what can I do” discussion triggers written by Professor Jenny Martin, NHMRC Fellow and ARC Australian Laureate Fellow 2010-2014 • Ten Simple Rules to Achieve Conference Speaker Gender Balance • But what can I do for gender equality? Easy, start here. Activity: Peer to peer 1. Skim and scan the triggers 2. Arrive at peer consensus about which is most relevant to your situation 3. Discuss at least 2 of the ideas for what you can do 4.
