How to reach a better quality in the field
With normal fingerwheel harvesters you have some choices:
•Doing several passes to avoid nuts staying on the ground, in a single
pass this type of harvester can pick-up only 60 to 90% of the nuts,
depending on the quantity of nuts on the ground.
•Doing just one pass, to increase the harvesting frequency and avoid
most of the nuts staying on the ground for more time
•Purchase more fingerwheel type machines, To have at the same time,
more passes and more frequency.

• The average 2.6% difference in SKR result in a difference of $260 per
tonne, that for a 100t farm means $26,000 more revenue per year (**)
Reduced shed losses. Frequent harvests result in shed reject levels of
4.6%, while longer harvest intervals result in reject levels of 8.3%, and this
means up to $11,250 more revenue for the grower (**)
