Functional Summary
As a L2 team member in Vmware & Wintel Team (8 yrs), I’m responsible for remote management of VM’s
and Windows servers at Datacenter spread across India of around 45 clients in Wipro InfoTech and TCS client.
Here is my Current job responsibilities include.
VMware
 SQL server migration from one Vcenter to other Vcenter.
 VCenter Server, ESX / ESXi 4.0-5.5 hosts management & troubleshooting
 HA (High Availability), DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) management & Troubleshooting.
 Managing ESX/ESXi servers in Cluster environment.
 Creating, Increasing Datastores.
 Planning & Executing P2V (Physical to Virtual), V2V conversions using VMware Converter standalone
& management consoles.
 Providing Service Improvement Plans and working towards deploying solutions suggested.
 Management of vSwitches, vKernel, Service console configurations.
 Cloning virtual machines in to Templates & virtual machines.
 Managing vMotion and svMotion solutions.
 Installing, configuring & Managing Virtual Machines with version 4, 7 & 8.
 Identifying the Risks in existing infra and working with Mitigation plans with impact analysis done.
 Analyzing the performance issues wrt IO, Resource front & suggesting methods in overcoming issues faced.
