The event was held at the Taj Deccan on December 12, 2010. The event was attended by more than 200 people.
Logan customers and their families assembled at the Taj Deccan. All the participants were given a route map for navigation and all vehicles had to fill up their tanks to the maximum before they were flagged-off. The fuel was filled in the presence of neutral marshals to prevent any misreporting of mileage figures. The rally covered a distance of approximately 73km, with the vehicles travelling up to the Bangalore Highway before returning to the starting point, where the amount of fuel consumed was measured and mileage was determined.
All participants showed great enthusiasm and were able to average very good mileage, a particularly impressive feat due to the traffic heavy road condition on a busy Sunday in the centre of Hyderabad. The winning vehicle, a Logan DLSX, clocked an amazing mileage of 43.94 km/litre, a fantastic achievement considering that the vehicle has covered over 115,000 kms. This was followed by a Logan DLE that clocked an average of 41.31 km/litre, another great achievement. Our third prize went to the Logan DLE that averaged a very impressive 39.63 km/litre.
Commenting on the above initiative, Mr. Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Automotive Sector, M&M Ltd. said, “The Logan’s reliability, spaciousness & performance make it the highest ranked entry midsize car in the J.D. Power 2010 Vehicle Dependability Study. Events like the mileage rally reinforce these strengths. It’s a car that truly understands and Loves India.”
A complete family sedan made for India’s needs, the Logan is now a 100%-owned Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. brand following the buyout in April 2010. Following this, the Logan has enjoyed an increasing positive equity with its customers. This point was validated by the J.D. Power award and a very high ranking in the Hindustan Times Customer Satisfaction Survey 2010. Along with reliability and satisfaction comes excellent ride quality, spacious interiors and boot space. A truly complete family car that Loves India.
About The Mahindra Group

Mahindra embarked on its journey in 1945 by assembling the Willys Jeep in India and is now a US $7.1 billion Indian multinational.
