Spiritual – away from God, without hope
Ephesians 2:12 that at that time you were
without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the
covenants of promise, having no hope and
without God in the world.
This verse is a definition of what it means to
be spiritually lost.

Hebrews 3:12 Beware, brethren, lest there be
in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in
departing from the living God;
1 John 2:1-2 1 My little children, these things I
write to you, so that you may not sin. And if
anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the
Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He
Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not
for ours only but also for the whole world.

unintentionally, for him who is native-born
among the children of Israel and for the
stranger who dwells among them.

the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us
from all sin.
