God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My
maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those
days; And they shall prophesy.
8. Jesus confirms the promise
of The Father
• Acts 1:4-5 (NKJV)
• The Holy Spirit Promised
• 4 And being assembled together with them,
He commanded them not to depart from
Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the
Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard
from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water,
but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit
not many days from now.”
9. This Gift is a promise from God.
• And You need it for everything.
• The anointing of the Holy Spirit will help you
in your own life, your family, your ministry,
your daily activities.
• Without it, you can not become the person
that God has called you to be.
• And Whiteout it you cannot stand in the place
God has designed for you to be.
10. 3. YOU HAVE TO DESIRE
THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
• John 7:37-39 (NKJV)
• The Promise of the Holy Spirit
• 37 On the last day, that great day of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone
thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who
believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of
his heart will flow rivers of living water.”39 But
this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those
believing in Him would receive; for the
Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was
not yet glorified.
11. • You need to desire it,
• You need to confess that you desire it,
• You need to see yourself been empowered by
this wonderful Gift from God,
• The most you yearn from it, the easiest would
be for you to receive it.
12. 4. YOU MUST ASK FOR THE
GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
• Luke 11:13 (NKJV)
• 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give
good gifts to your children, how much more
will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask Him!”
13. Cry out for Him
• Openly and unashamedly ask without ceasing
for His wonderful presence.
• Sanctify yourself to receive Him.
• Forgive your offenders.
• Ask forgiveness to those you have offended.
• Confess to God any wrongdoing.
• Be willing to receive this Gift and take care of
Him.
14. 5. ONCE PRAYED FOR,
BELIEVE YOU HAVE RECEIVED
• The Holy Spirit empowered men in the Old Testament so they could do
God’s will:
• 1 Samuel 16:13Living Bible (TLB)
• 13 So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the olive oil he
had brought and poured it upon David’s head; and the Spirit of Jehovah
came upon him and gave him great power from that day onward. Then
Samuel returned to Ramah.
• Judges 14:6New King James Version (NKJV)
• 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion
apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing
in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
• God’s Spirit did not permanently indwell His people in the Old Testament,
He used them and gave them power to achieve things they could not have
been able to accomplish on their own.
15. The Holy Spirit empowered men in
time of the early Church:
• Acts 4:31-33 (NKJV)
• 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they
were assembled together was shaken; and they were
all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word
of God with boldness.
• 32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of
one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that
any of the things he possessed was his own, but they
had all things in common. 33 And with great power the
apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord
Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.
16. Now Days…
• The wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit is a
continuous refreshing stream of god presence
in His Church, in His people.
• Our personal lives have been change by this
wonderful baptism in Him.
• The use of the gifting and abilities in an
effective way, are possible through His
wonderful anointing.
17. My Prayer:
• Father I thank you in the name of Jesus for your wonderful love. I
come to you giving you thanks for who you are and for everything
you have done in our lives. I thank you that you are working in our
lives giving us the desire to obey you, and the power to do what
pleases you.
• At this time I ask you father for the promise of your Holy Spirit for
those who have not receive Him yet, and desire to receive Him; and
for those of us that we have already receive Him, we ask you for a
new infilling and for the mantle of your power on us, so we can be
able to do the things that pleases you.
• Thank you Father. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Holy Spirit.
• Amen, and so be it right now.
• Thank you Lord.
