WALKING IN HER FATHER’S SHOES
HAVE YOU TRIED WALKING IN
OTHER’S SHOES?
✕ Since early childhood we try to emulate
our parents.
✕ We want to walk in their shoes and its
so hard to move on, as first, those
shoes are not our size and our walk is
still insecure.
✕ Have you heard the expression: 'Walk
a mile in my shoes‘ ?
YOUR FEET UPON HIS, AND
HIS HANDS GRABBING YOURS.
WALKING ON DADDY’S FEET
✕ Surely my father have walked me on his
feet. I have walk my children and now my
grandchildren upon mine as well.
✕ God, as good Father that He is, walks us
on his feet, He grabs us from our hands
and teaches how to walk.
✕ Little children like to ride upon their elders
feet.
A LOOK AT SOME SYMBOLS
IN THE BOOK OF EXODUS
✕ Let’s have a quick view at some biblical
pictures through the book of Exodus.
✕ Interpretation of symbols can not be taken
out of the biblical pictures, they need to
remain there to be accurate in their meaning.
✕ While giving a meaning in the picture, A
SYMBOL could be as well pointing something
in a near or distant future.

✕ I know the task that I’m giving you is too
much for you, but relax and be obedient,
“I will walk in your shoes”!
✕ God was teaching Moses to depend upon
Him.
MOSES STAFF CONVERTED INTO A SNAKE
Staff = Support, rest, authority,
weapon. Also, resting and
relaying on God’s support.
Serpent = Sin, enemy’s plans.

us, that we might become the righteousness of
God in Him.
 Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
PICKING UP THE SERPENT
Power over the enemy,
Mark 16:18 “they will
pick up serpents with
their hands”.

Psalm 23:4 comfort me

There is healing on the tree…
 Commanded by God Moses made a bronze serpent
and sets it up in a pole so everyone that is bitten could
be saved by looking into this serpent.
 This serpent was a foreshadow of Jesus.
 The serpent lifted up and cursed symbolized Jesus.
 Jesus took all our sins, all our infirmities and diseases
and curses upon Him when He was crucified,
Galatians 3:13 (NKJV)
 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law,
having become a curse for us (for it is
written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”).
John 3:14-15 (NKJV)
 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the
wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted
up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not
perish but have eternal life.
“AND WHEN I AM LIFTED UP FROM THE
EARTH, I WILL DRAW EVERYONE TO
MYSELF.“ JOHN 12:32
EXODUS 4:6-7 (NKJV)
6 Furthermore
the LORD said to him,
“Now put your hand in
your bosom.” And he put
his hand in his bosom,
and when he took it out,
behold, his
hand was leprous, like
snow.7 And He said, “Put
your hand in your bosom
again.” So he put his hand
in his bosom again, and
drew it out of his bosom,
and behold, it was
restored like
his other flesh.

THE 10 PLAGUES OF EGYPT

Symbols in exodus
Comparing the Journey through
the desert and our walking
 The land of Egypt = Our walk in the world.
 The cross of the Red Sea = Our baptism in God.
 The Cloud and Pillar of Fire = The Holy Ghost.
 The wilderness, the desert = Our journey through
the world towards God.
 Mount Sinai = Temple of the Lord, His Holy
Presence.
 Boundaries around Mount Sinai = Need of people
to get ready before coming into the very presence of
the Lord.
The waters of Marah
Exodus 15:22-24 (NKJV)
 Bitter Waters Made Sweet
 22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then
they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And
they went three days in the wilderness and found
no water. 23 Now when they came to Marah, they
could not drink the waters of Marah, for
they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was
called Marah. 24 And the people complained
against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”
And they went three days
 Number three means “conform to”
 The Lord was testing them to see if they have been
“Conformed to” His Image, to His likeness.
 They failed.
 The Lord show them that they were physically free but
they still were not trusting completely on Him.
Exodus 15:23
 Now when they came to Marah, they could not
drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter.
Therefore the name of it was called Marah.
 Now you define the Symbols: Consider the proposed
ideas:
 Bitter water = Troubles of life?
 A tree = Points to the cross?
 Cast it into the waters = The cross of Jesus in your life?
 Waters were made sweet = The cross in your life brings
sweetness to your troubled life?
Exodus 15:26 (NKJV)
 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of
the LORD your God and do what is right in His
sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all
His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you
which I have brought on the Egyptians. For
I am the LORD who heals you.”
 If you heed the voice of the Lord … condition
 I will put none of the diseases on you… Promise
 …Who heals you… Revelation of Who He is.
Elim, where there were twelve
springs and seventy palm trees .
Exodus 15:27
 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve
springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped
there near the water.
 Now you define the Symbols:
 Twelve springs of water.
 Seventy palm trees.
 Camp near the water.
Consider the following verses:
 Isaiah 12:3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
 Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the
dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing
on your descendants.
 Isaiah 55:1 Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you
who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
 John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of
his heart will flow rivers of living water.
 Psalm 92: 12The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall
grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
 John 12:13 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet
Him, and began to shout, "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN
THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel.“
Consider the number’s meaning
 Number 12 means, Join, unity; and by Implication
government.
 There were 12 tribes, 12 apostles, 12 months, 12 hours in
a day, 12 hours in a night.
 Number 70 means, completely accepted or
completely rejected.
 Jesus uses this number when He spoke to Peter about
forgiveness.
