THE FUTURE TENSE
Examples:
 I am seeing the dentist tomorrow evening.
 They are watching a new film tomorrow night at Cinecolombia.
 My son is not playing the soccer match this Friday. It was cancelled.
 We are not traveling next weekend. Your father has to work.
 Polly is coming for dinner tomorrow.
 Are you doing anything tonight?
 We aren't going on holiday next week.
II.
 Decisiones e intenciones: I’m going to stop smoking.
 We are going to leave in two weeks.
 The rebels are going to sign an agreement.
 He is going to mow the grass in the garden.

Activity N° 8
Read about Forest Hill Summer Camp. Choose an activity that you’d like to do in the morning,
afternoon and evening. (Taken from: Book English, Please. Fast Track. 9° Grade)
FOREST HILL SUMMER CAMP
What are you going to do this summer? Why not come on our summer camp in Forest Hill and have an
awesome time! You can stay for one day, two days, a whole week or all summer, if you want!
In the morning: The mornings are great for creative people. We’re going to have art and drawing classes,
drama classes and we’re going to play music together too. If you play an instrument – bring it to camp!
We rehearse every day, and have a concert every weekend.
In the afternoon: We’re going to get active! We’re going to go hiking and horse riding in the forest,
swimming in the lake, and canoeing and white water rafting in the river.
In the evening: The evenings are for relaxing. We’re going to have a party EVERY night with music, a
barbecue, and stories round the campfire. Or if you prefer, you can watch a movie in the movie tent.
At the weekend: At the weekend, there are excursions to interesting places – mountains, beaches and
even a volcano! But we aren’t going to tell you what to do – it’s your choice.
Start: Monday 2nd June
End: Sunday 31st August
9
HOMEWORK
What are your plans for this weekend? Make notes in your English notebook using going
to. Then write two questions to ask your classmates about their plans.
III. Will
cabo.
Example: I think the weather will be great this summer.
Example: I'm tired. I will go to bed
expresiones como: I think, I will visit Japan one day.
I hope I will visit Japan one day.
I bet you will eat the school lunch tomorrow
I guess you will play for the championship.
I will travel probably to Europe in ten years.
I will be maybe married in 20 years!
I don’t think I will visit Japan one day.
 Hacer una solicitud o dar una orden:
Will you get me a newspaper when you go to the bank?
Will you stop talking, please?
Examples:
 The train will arrive at 2 o'clock
 My driving licence will expire these days.
 The president will fly to the site of the accident.

Why not come on our summer camp in Forest Hill and have an awesome time! You can stay for one day, two days, a whole week or all summer, if you want! In the morning: The mornings are great for creative people. We’re going to have art and drawing classes, drama classes and we’re going to play music together too. If you play an instrument – bring it to camp! We rehearse every day, and have a concert every weekend. In the afternoon: We’re going to get active! We’re going to go hiking and horse riding in the forest, swimming in the lake, and canoeing and white water rafting in the river. In the evening: The evenings are for relaxing. We’re going to have a party EVERY night with music, a barbecue, and stories round the campfire. Or if you prefer, you can watch a movie in the movie tent. At the weekend: At the weekend, there are excursions to interesting places – mountains, beaches and even a volcano! But we aren’t going to tell you what to do – it’s your choice. Start: Monday 2nd June End: Sunday 31st August
  • 9. 9 HOMEWORK What are your plans for this weekend? Make notes in your English notebook using going to. Then write two questions to ask your classmates about their plans. III. Example: I think the weather will be great this summer. Example: I'm tired. I will go to bed  Hacer predicciones del futuro basadas en ideas, normalmente acompañadas por expresiones como: I think, I will visit Japan one day. I hope I will visit Japan one day. I bet you will eat the school lunch tomorrow I guess you will play for the championship. I will travel probably to Europe in ten years. I will be maybe married in 20 years! I don’t think I will visit Japan one day.  Hacer una solicitud o dar una orden: Will you get me a newspaper when you go to the bank? Will you stop talking, please?
