The Naples Players will hold auditions on October 31st for the play "Other Desert Cities" directed by Chris Goutman. The play is about a family whose perfect facade is threatened by the daughter's tell-all memoir. Auditions are looking for two men aged 50-70 and 25-35 and three women aged 50-70 and one aged late 20s to early 40s. Rehearsals begin November 23rd with performances from January 13th to February 7th.

The Naples Players To Hold Auditions for Other Desert Cities
NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players will hold auditions for Other Desert Cities,
beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31 at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5th
Avenue South, Naples. Emmy award-winning director Chris Goutman will direct.
The Wyeths are a family that appears to have it all, but their carefully crafted facade
is on the verge of shattering when daughter Brooke reveals the impending publication of her
“tell-all” memoir. This Pulitzer finalist is written by 5 time tony nominee John Robin Baitz
and is filled with crackling wit and razor-sharp one-liners that every actor will want to
deliver.
Two men are needed for this production, one age 50 to 70 and one age 25 to 35. Three
women are also needed; two ages 50 to 70 and one in her late 20’s to early 40’s.
Rehearsals begin November 23. Performance dates are January 13 - February 7.
Perusal scripts are available at the box office with a $20 deposit. The box office is open from
10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Those unable to make the Saturday audition may call 239-434-7340, ext. 10 to
schedule an alternate time. The Naples Players’ auditions are open to all interested persons,
regardless of age, race or experience. All that is required is the desire to be involved in a
production and the willingness to commit time and effort to the project.
