building vocabulary
through visuals.
This is a highly engaging
workshop that will teach car-
ing adults about providing
children with playful, enrich-
ing learning experiences that
can positively change out-
comes for children.
During the session, partici-
pants will engage in discus-
sion, learn songs, and thor-
oughly examine a case study
about a child who was ne-
glected and diagnosed with
selected mutism and how
ASL unlocked the social bar-
rier for the child.
The case study will demon-
strate the effectiveness of
American Sign Language,
developing positive family
partnerships, and utilizing
professional resources in a
timely manner.
In addition, participants will
engage in fun activities to
learn about brain anatomy,
neuronal activity, and acquire
fifty (50) plus sign symbols
that may be immediately
taught to young children.

This is an approved Georgia:

appropriate certificate credit
